WARDOGS Season 02 is live: servers back at 10:01 UTC after a two-hour maintenance
WARDOGS Early Access Season 02 is live: BULKHEAD confirmed at 10:01 UTC on 15 October that services are back online, about two hours after the maintenance began at 08:00 UTC (the planned 90 minutes were extended at 09:39 with region-wide restarts). From now on the new role-track XP table, the heavy-calibre damage and armour rebalance, the new vendor prices and the new weapons, vehicles and buildables from the Season 02 patch notes apply to everyone — our patch-notes write-up has the full breakdown.
- Timeline: maintenance began 08:00 UTC with an estimated 1.5 hours; extended at 09:39 UTC with existing servers restarting across regions; BULKHEAD posted "Season 02 is now LIVE" at 10:01 UTC.
- What arrives with the season: the reworked role-track XP table (level 20 needs 111,500 XP instead of 250,000), .308/7.62/.50 damage cuts, lighter level 3 and 4 armour, new vendor prices, four weapons, four vehicles, three buildables, a Molotov and rain — full breakdown in our patch-notes write-up.
- New rules to know before your first match: team switching is blocked once a team leads by more than 10 points, regions enforce ping limits with auto-kicks, and team kills can trigger forgive/punish votes with escalating bans.
- BULKHEAD's notes do not mention a progression wipe or reset; if your Season 1 levels or unlocks change at launch, that is not something the notes announced.
- The Wager Vendor is not available at launch and opens later in Season 2; Steam trading cards are still pending Valve.
Status: Season 02 is live (10:01 UTC)
BULKHEAD took the servers down at 08:00 UTC and expected about 90 minutes of downtime. At 09:39 UTC it extended the window and restarted existing servers across regions, and at 10:01 UTC it confirmed that Season 02 is live and services are back online — roughly two hours of downtime in total. Any launch hotfix BULKHEAD posts on Steam lands on this hub automatically.
What changes the moment you log in
The role-track XP table is the big one for anyone levelling: level 20 drops from 250,000 to 111,500 XP, level 30 from 500,000 to 318,200 and level 50 from 1,500,000 to 1,150,000, and most attachments unlock earlier or on other tracks. Rewards move with it — buildable, IED and C4 kills feed assault XP, artillery feeds driver, repairs feed driver and pilot.
Guns, armour and money
Heavy calibres lose base damage (.308 −25 %, 7.62x54mmR −20 %, 7.62x39mm −19 %, .50 cal −16 %), snipers get higher hit-location damage, and level 3 and 4 armour drop to 50 % and 60 %. The level 4 helmet now muffles audio and proximity chat, narrows your field of view and fogs when you sprint. Cash and XP move too: assault-weapon kills pay $2,000, FOB hacks and destroys pay more, spotting pays about 30 % less, and prices jump on the L2A6, the AMR 50, level 3 armour and the level 4 helmet while the AK74 halves to $800.
New content
- Weapons: TCX-SPR, PP-19 Bizon, Evo-3 Ultra and M14, plus a Molotov.
- Vehicles: Wolf-110 and Wolf-110 Assault, T-72B3, Flakpanzer Gepard.
- Buildables: MG Nest, Large Shelter and Wooden Step; a rain weather preset; eight Gold Market camos.
- The Wager Vendor is not available at launch and opens later in Season 2.
What is still open
BULKHEAD's notes never say whether Season 1 progression is wiped or carried over, so treat any reset you see at login as unannounced until BULKHEAD comments. Team switching, region ping limits and team-kill votes are all new rules — read our patch-notes write-up before your first match so a kick or a ban does not cost you a session.
