CS2 Premier seasons
Two seasons a year — a January and a July switch-over, loosely aligned with the Major calendar.
What resets
- Your CS Rating is recalibrated: the number is hidden again until you win 10 matches (losses don't count toward the ten, but they do feed the calibration).
- The Active Duty map pool usually rotates — Season 5 swapped Cache in for Overpass.
- Season leaderboards close; your season-end rating is what the end-of-season reward is based on.
What carries over
- Your Competitive (per-map) ranks, Wingman ranks and Profile Rank.
- Your inventory, Prime status, Trust Factor and friends — only the Premier number is recalibrated.
- Your skill: the calibration lands most players close to where they finished.

FACEIT (CS2) seasons
Roughly quarterly since Season 8 — Season 8 ran 105 days. FACEIT announces each start a few weeks ahead.
What resets
- A soft Elo reset: your Elo is adjusted from your recent form (activity, win rate and FACEIT Rating over the last 50 games), then hidden for 10 placement matches that confirm your starting Elo.
- Inactive accounts are adjusted down harder — fewer than 20 wins in the previous season adds an extra penalty.
- The map pool can change after a community vote (Season 8 and 9 both ran one).
What carries over
- Your account, match history, hubs, leagues and FACEIT Points.
- Your level band is only moved as far as the soft reset moves your Elo — most players land near where they were.
- Your Premier CS Rating: the two ladders are independent (FACEIT only reads it once, when a new account is created).

WARDOGS seasons
BULKHEAD has announced seasons one at a time. Season 1 lasted five weeks; the rhythm after Season 2 is not published.
What resets
- All six role levels and your Wardog level go back to 1, on a new XP curve with a different item order.
- Your cash bank is emptied — whatever is left converts automatically into gold bars at that day's Gold Exchange rate.
- Season leaderboards and seasonal stats close.
What carries over
- Gold bars, every cosmetic you have unlocked and your Supporter Pack items.
- Your Steam purchase, settings and friends — only progression and cash reset.
- Map knowledge, flying hours and the money loops you learned (the skills carry; the bank doesn't).

Common questions
When does CS2 Premier Season 5 end?
Valve has not announced it. Premier has switched seasons every January and July since 2025 (Season 3 ended 19 January 2026, Season 4 on 6 July 2026), so the realistic expectation is early-to-mid January 2027 — treat any exact date you see online as an estimate until Valve posts it.
What happens to my CS Rating when a Premier season ends?
It is recalibrated: your rating is hidden again until you win ten matches in the new season, and the calibration lands most players close to where they finished. Your Competitive, Wingman and Profile ranks are untouched.
When does FACEIT Season 9 end?
FACEIT has not published an end date. Season 8 ran from 22 April to 4 August 2026 (105 days) and Season 9 began on 5 August, so a similar length would end it around mid-November 2026. FACEIT normally announces the next season a few weeks ahead.
When does WARDOGS Season 2 start and what resets?
BULKHEAD has set 15 October 2026 for Season 2. All six role levels, your Wardog level and your cash bank reset; leftover cash converts automatically to gold bars at that day's Gold Exchange rate, while gold bars and cosmetics carry over. The switch-over hour has not been announced — Season 1 went live at 16:00 UTC.
