VALORANT RR calculator

Set your rank and RR, the RR you gain and lose and your win rate. You get the RR to your target under Riot's rules, the net wins and games it takes, the days at your pace — and the live price if a booster does it.

Your numbers

Read the RR shown after your last few Competitive wins and losses — Riot sets it from how your hidden MMR compares with your rank.

The maths 3 divisions × 100 RR − the 40 RR you have = 260 RR. Each promotion on the way starts you on at least 10 RR, which can save up to 20 RR.

At a 55% win rate, +20 RR a win and −18 a loss you average +2.9 RR a game: about 90 games (50 wins, 40 losses), or 23 days at 4 games a day. Fastest case: 13 wins in a row. Below a 47.4% win rate you would stop climbing.

RR rules from Riot Support (100 RR a division below Immortal, Immortal thresholds per shard), applied to the RR and win rate you type — your real games will swing around the average. Booster prices are the live quote from our checkout engine for this exact climb and shard with any running sale applied; the Rank Boost is priced at the RR-per-win option nearest yours and the delivery estimate is checkout's, in whole days. A Pro Teammate session is priced per game at your rank. You pay at checkout; your booster is paid only after you approve the finished order.

How RR works in VALORANT

From Iron 1 to Ascendant 3 every division is 100 RR. After placement you start on 50 RR; when you reach 100 you promote and begin the next division on at least 10 RR. To demote you have to lose a game at 0 RR, and you land on at least 70 RR in the division below. Entering Tier 1 of a rank — by promotion or demotion — gives you 2 Rank Shields, so a loss at 0 RR spends a shield instead of dropping you to the rank below; shields don't cover a drop between the tiers inside a rank, and a dodge or remake doesn't use one.

How much RR a game is worth depends on your hidden MMR. Riot's rule: when your MMR sits above your rank you gain more on wins than you lose on losses; level with it, the two come out close; below it, wins pay less and losses cost more. How much you win by, standout plays and being the underdog can move it too. That is why the calculator asks for your RR per win and per loss — the expected RR a game is win rate × RR per win minus loss rate × RR per loss, and the games are the RR you need divided by it.

Immortal and Radiant run on one running total. You start Immortal 1 on 10 RR and every win keeps adding to it — there is no 100-RR reset. Immortal 2, Immortal 3 and Radiant are thresholds on that total, set per shard, and Radiant also needs a top-500 place on your shard's leaderboard. You drop from Immortal 2 or 3 the moment you fall below the threshold.

FAQ

Common questions

How much RR do you need to rank up in VALORANT?

100 RR per division from Iron 1 to Ascendant 3, per Riot Support: a freshly placed rank starts on 50 RR, you promote at 100 and begin the next division on at least 10 RR. Immortal works differently — you start Immortal 1 on 10 RR and your RR keeps adding up; Immortal 2, Immortal 3 and Radiant are RR thresholds that differ by shard (EU: 100, 200 and 500 RR), and Radiant also needs a top-500 spot on your shard's leaderboard.

How many games does it take to rank up a division?

At +20 RR a win, five wins in a row take a full division. Over a normal mix of wins and losses it takes more: at a 55% win rate with +20 / −18 RR you average +2.9 RR a game, so 100 RR is about 35 games. Below a 47.4% win rate at those numbers you don't climb at all — type your own RR gains into the calculator for your exact count.

How does demotion work in VALORANT?

You demote by losing a game at 0 RR — reaching 0 RR alone doesn't drop you — and you land on at least 70 RR in the division below. When you enter Tier 1 of a rank, by promotion or demotion, you get 2 Rank Shields: a loss at 0 RR uses a shield instead of dropping you to the rank below. They don't protect a drop between the tiers inside a rank, and a dodge or a remake doesn't use one. In Immortal you drop from Immortal 1 at 0 RR plus a loss, and from Immortal 2 or 3 as soon as you fall below your shard's threshold.

Does my RR per win change the booster price?

Yes. Our Rank Boost is priced on about 20 RR a win — five wins a division. Fewer RR per win means more games for the booster, so checkout scales the price and the delivery time by 20 ÷ your RR per win. The calculator rounds your RR per win to the nearest option checkout offers (10, 15, 20, 25 or 30+ RR) and shows that exact quote.

Is a VALORANT boost allowed by Riot?

No. Boosting conflicts with Riot Games' terms of service and Vanguard's rules, and accounts can be penalized — read our Risk Disclosure before you order. A Pro Teammate (duo) order keeps your login with you because you play every game yourself; on a piloted order a hand-verified booster plays in offline mode, and your login is encrypted and deleted when the order closes.
