Get ahead: pre-order before the realms open
Everyone starts at level 1 on the same night. Orders placed before launch start the moment the realms are up, so your booster is leveling while the rest of the realm is still in the queue. Prices are the engine's from-prices with today's sale; set your exact order on the service page.

What should I do first when WoW Forever launches?
Pick your ruleset first — Forever has no realm list, and a character stays on the ruleset it was made on; names are reserved per region. Everyone starts at level 1: levels 1–12 are your race's starting zone (or Zephras Isle for the Skyborne), where an early quest teaches camping and you pick your two primary professions. The first new dungeons open from level 13 — Hall of Thanes (13–18) and Ruins of Lordaeron (15–20).
When do the WoW Forever raids open?
On 9 December 2026, five weeks after launch. Three raids open together: Barrow Deeps (10 players, 8 bosses); Hyjal Summit (20 players, 13 bosses); Onyxia's Lair (40 players, one boss in three phases — you need the Drakefire Amulet in your bags). Blizzard has announced the date; the countdown here runs to the start of 9 December, UTC.
Which rulesets does WoW Forever have?
Rulesets replace realms. At launch: Normal, PvP, Roleplay, Roleplay PvP; Hardcore — one life, death is permanent — follows after launch, with details to come. Normal puts adventure first and PvP is your choice; on PvP the other faction can attack you in the open world; the Roleplay rulesets add strict naming and behaviour rules.
