LoL Objective Timers 2026: Dragon, Voidgrubs, Herald and Baron Spawn Times

Every epic monster on Summoner's Rift for patch 26.21: first spawns, respawns and despawns, what each one gives, the 2026 changes — Baron back to 20:00, Atakhan gone — the jungle camp timers and how to set up for each fight.

Updated 2026-10-24 · 8 min read · by the BoostPirate crew
  • Drake 5:00, then every 5:00
  • Voidgrubs 8:00
  • Rift Herald 15:00
  • Baron 20:00, then every 6:00

Objectives decide more League games than kills do, and every one of them runs on a clock both teams can read. Patch 26.1 reshuffled the map for 2026 — Baron moved back to 20:00, Atakhan disappeared and every jungle camp spawns earlier — so older timer charts are wrong. This guide lists every epic monster and camp on Summoner's Rift for patch 26.21: first spawn, respawn, despawn, what it gives, and how to set up for it.

Short answer: the first drake spawns at 5:00 and the next one 5:00 after each kill; three Voidgrubs at 8:00, once, gone at 14:45; the Rift Herald at 15:00, once, gone at 19:45; Baron Nashor at 20:00, then 6:00 after every kill. A team's fourth drake brings the Elder Dragon, 6:00 later and after every Elder kill.
Key takeaways
  • Baron is back at 20:00 — V26.01: Baron's first spawn 25:00 ⇒ 20:00.
  • Atakhan is gone: Atakhan, Blood Roses and Feats of Strength were removed in patch 26.1.
  • Grubs and Herald spawn once — miss them and they're gone for the game.
  • Camps come earlier: buffs, Wolves and Raptors at 0:55, Gromp and Krugs at 1:07, the Scuttlers at 2:55.
  • Turret plates stay all game — turret plates no longer fall at 14:00 — they stay all game, outer plates lose 10 gold a minute from 11:00 (capped at −40).

Dragons, Dragon Soul and the Elder

The first elemental drake spawns at 5:00 in the bottom-side pit, and the next one 5:00 after each kill. Each drake gives the team that kills it a permanent stack; the team that reaches four takes its Dragon Soul, which lasts the rest of the game. After that the pit belongs to the Elder Dragon: it spawns 6:00 after the soul drake dies and 6:00 after every Elder kill, and its buff — Aspect of the Dragon — lasts 150 seconds. Drakes are the steadiest objective in the game: a new one five minutes after each kill until someone has four.

Voidgrubs and the Rift Herald

Voidgrubs — 8:00

Three grubs spawn once in the top-side pit and leave at 14:45 if nobody takes them. Each one gives your team stacks that add damage to structures; three stacks summon Voidmites when you hit a turret. Patch 26.1 made them sturdier and paid their gold to the killer only.

Rift Herald — 15:00

Spawns once in the Baron pit and leaves at 19:45. Killing it drops the Eye of the Herald: pick it up and summon the Herald to charge a lane's turret — the fastest way to take plates and open the map before Baron arrives at 20:00.

Baron Nashor

Baron takes the top-side pit at 20:00 — patch 26.1 moved it back from 25:00 — and respawns 6:00 after every kill. Hand of Baron lasts 3 minutes and empowers your recall and your minions, which is how a Baron turns into towers. A Baron taken at 26:10 is back at 32:10 and its buff runs out at 29:10 — the objective timer does that arithmetic for you while you play.

Jungle camp timers

Red Brambleback0:555:00
Murk Wolves0:552:15
Raptors0:552:15
Gromp1:072:15
Krugs1:072:15
Rift Scuttler2:552:30

Patch 26.1: Wolves, Blue, Red and Raptors at 0:55, Krugs and Gromp at 1:07, the Scuttlers at 2:55 (they were 1:30 / 1:42 / 3:30). The minions moved too: the first wave leaves the base at 0:30 (it was 1:05). Both changes mean the early game starts sooner — first clears and level 2 come faster than in 2025.

How to set up for an objective

  1. Say the timer out loud.

"Drake 15:10" in chat or voice the moment one dies. Everyone plays differently when they know the clock.

  2. Push the nearby lanes about 30 seconds early.

A shoved wave forces the enemy laner to choose between farm and the fight.

  3. Ward from the side you'll fight on.

Vision in the river and on the pit's entrances, and a Control Ward to clear theirs.

  4. Recall to buy when it's more than a minute away.

Arriving with full items beats arriving first with half.

  5. Know what you'll trade.

If the enemy commits to the drake, take the grubs, the Herald or a turret on the other side instead.

FAQ

Common questions

When does Baron spawn in LoL 2026?
At 20:00. Patch 26.1 moved Baron back from 25:00, where it sat in 2025, and it respawns 6:00 after every kill. Hand of Baron lasts three minutes (official wiki).
How long is the dragon respawn timer?
5:00 after an elemental drake dies; the first one spawns at 5:00. When a team takes its fourth drake it gets its Dragon Soul and the Elder Dragon takes over the pit: 6:00 after that kill and 6:00 after every Elder kill.
Do Voidgrubs and the Rift Herald respawn?
No. Three Voidgrubs spawn once at 8:00 and leave at 14:45 if nobody takes them; the Rift Herald spawns once at 15:00 in the Baron pit and leaves at 19:45 so Baron can spawn at 20:00.
Was Atakhan removed from League of Legends?
Yes — patch 26.1 removed Atakhan along with its Blood Roses and the Feats of Strength. First Blood and the first turret pay their old bonuses again: +100 and +300 gold.
