- Season 2: 15 Oct 2026
- Levels + cash reset
- Cash → gold bars
- Cosmetics stay
WARDOGS runs in seasons, and seasons end with a wipe. BULKHEAD has set 15 October 2026 as the start of Season 2 — a little over a month after the game entered Steam Early Access on 10 September — and has said the new season ships a different XP curve with a different item order. Here is what is confirmed, what converts, and what is still unannounced.
Written 3 October 2026 from the Season 1 changelog and BULKHEAD's community posts. The exact switch-over hour, the cash-to-gold conversion rate and the item-by-item reset table had not been published; check the official patch notes on the day.
- 10 September 2026Season 1 — Early Access launch
Steam Early Access, PC only. Six role tracks to 50, Wardog track to 150, cash bank that carries between matches.
- NowLast weeks of Season 1
Spend the bank, chase gold-bar cosmetics, learn the money roles. Levels earned now do not survive the reset.
- 15 October 2026Season 2 — the wipe
Role and Wardog levels and cash reset; leftover cash converts to gold bars. New XP curve, new item order.
What resets
- Role levels — all six tracks (Assault, Medic, Recon, Support, Driver, Pilot) go back to 1.
- Wardog level — the account track resets with them.
- Cash — your bank is emptied; whatever is left converts automatically to gold bars (see below).
- The XP curve itself — Season 2 uses a new curve, so Season 1 thresholds (35k to level 10, 250k to 20, 1M to 50) will not apply as they did.
What carries over
- Gold bars — earned through play only, never bought with real money, and the currency the Season 1 cosmetics are priced in (the season skin is 30 gold bars, and BULKHEAD has said that price is not coming down).
- Cosmetics — anything you have already unlocked for gold stays on the account.
- The account itself — only progression and cash reset; your Steam purchase, settings and friends are untouched (whether Steam achievements are affected has not been stated).
Still unannounced
- The cash → gold bar rate. Until it is published, assume leftover cash is worth less than cash you spend now.
- Whether one-off unlock fees (the $35,000 URAL, the $75,000 hammer, the tank) are refunded, re-charged or simply re-gated by the new item order.
- The reset hour on 15 October and how long servers are down.
What to do before the wipe
- Spend the bank on this season. Kit you buy now earns XP and matches you would not otherwise play; cash held back converts at an unknown rate.
- Chase gold-bar cosmetics, not levels. Cosmetics persist; levels do not. If the season skin is within reach, that is the one thing worth grinding for its own sake.
- Use the last weeks to learn the money roles. Driver and Pilot loops (spawn vehicles, pallets) are the fastest cash in the game — see the cash farming guide — and the skills carry into Season 2 even though the bank does not.
- Plan Season 2 as a fresh start. Everyone is level 1 on the 15th. The players who pick one role and farm its best XP actions from day one (how to level up fast) will be the ones with the tanks and helicopters in week two.
Does a boost make sense around a wipe?
Honestly: a level order placed in the last days of Season 1 only makes sense if you want a specific unlock or the gold-bar cosmetics now — the levels themselves reset on the 15th. Cash orders are the same: a bank is useful this season and converts to gold at an unknown rate after it. Most people who plan to order wait for the Season 2 curve and start then; our Wardog level and class level calculators quote a live price for whatever range you set, whichever season it is.
