Worlds 2026 Swiss Round 4, day two: Karmine Corp sweep CFO and Top Esports beat BLG 2–1 to qualify at 3–1 — Friday's elimination series TLAW vs LOS and G2 vs HLE from 20:00 UTC

Thursday's two Round 4 best-of-threes at Worlds 2026 went to Karmine Corp and Top Esports. KC beat CTBC Flying Oyster 2–0 — a 27-minute 19–3 opener and a 37-minute comeback — to stay alive at 2–2, while CFO leave at 1–3. Top Esports lost game one to Bilibili Gaming and won the next two, 369's Aatrox and Renekton anchoring a 17–3 decider, to become the fifth quarter-finalist at 3–1; BLG drop to 2–2. Friday's two elimination series, Team Liquid vs Los Grandes at 20:00 UTC and G2 vs Hanwha Life at 23:00 UTC, send the losers home; Round 5 on Saturday settles the last three knockout places.

The picks winning in Round 4 — Caitlyn, Ambessa, Orianna, Aatrox, Renekton and the Lucian–Milio bot lane — are worth a look in your own queue. What we are watching: Friday's two elimination series, Saturday's Round 5 draw and Riot's 26.22 notes early next week.

How day six went

Thursday was the second of the three Round 4 days at the Worlds 2026 Swiss stage in Allen, Texas, and the first with an elimination series: CTBC Flying Oyster and Karmine Corp came in at 1–2, so the loser was out, while Bilibili Gaming and Top Esports came in at 2–1 for a quarter-final place. Both series kept the late Round 4 slots — 20:03 UTC and 22:30 UTC — and the second one ran past 00:50 UTC on Friday morning.

The two results

  • Karmine Corp 2–0 CTBC Flying Oyster. Game one was one-sided: 27:35, 19 kills to 3, ten towers to none and a gold lead of more than 15,000 at the end. Game two was the other kind of game — CFO built a lead behind Doggo's Caitlyn and were ahead for much of the mid game, then Canna caught Doggo, Caliste stepped forward into a three-kill fight and the Elder fight went KC's way for a 36:54 win at 20–12. kyeahoo finished the series 12/1/19, Yike 8/2/23 and Caliste 11/4/17. KC stay alive at 2–2; CFO's Worlds ends at 1–3.
  • Top Esports 2–1 Bilibili Gaming. BLG took the opener in 27:51 at 21 kills to 6: first blood at 3:27 from Xun on 369, Knight's Orianna 9/1/7, Xun's Vi 5/1/8, Viper's Ezreal 4/1/7, ten towers to one and a Baron at 24:34. TES levelled in 37:36 at 13–10 after BLG pushed into TES's jungle at 29 minutes and lost four, with Tian's Jarvan IV taking the Baron and 369's Aatrox finishing 3/0/7. The decider was 27:48 at 17–3: 369 on Renekton, a double kill for JackeyLove's Tristana out of a play from Creme, a gold lead past 5,000 by the end of laning, Baron at 24 minutes and an ace in mid to close. Tian was named series MVP. TES qualify at 3–1; BLG fall to 2–2.

Where the Swiss stage stands

  • Qualified for the quarter-finals (five of eight): Dplus KIA and Gen.G at 3–0, T1, Invictus Gaming and Top Esports at 3–1. TES are the second LPL team through after IG.
  • 2–2, into Round 5 on Saturday: Movistar KOI, LYON, Karmine Corp, Bilibili Gaming.
  • 1–2, playing for survival on Friday: Team Liquid, Los Grandes, Hanwha Life, G2.
  • Eliminated: Team Secret Whales and Anyone's Legend at 0–3, CTBC Flying Oyster at 1–3.

Friday and Saturday

Friday 30 October closes Round 4 with two more elimination series: Team Liquid vs Los Grandes at 20:00 UTC (1 pm PT, 9 pm CET) and G2 vs Hanwha Life at 23:00 UTC (4 pm PT, midnight CET). The losers go home at 1–3 and the winners join the 2–2 pool. Round 5 on Saturday 31 October is three best-of-threes among the six 2–2 teams, with the sixth, seventh and eighth quarter-final places on the line; the pairings are drawn after Friday's games. The knockout stage begins on 3 November.

What it means for your climb

  • Nothing changes on live servers. Worlds is played on patch 26.20; ranked is on 26.21, and patch 26.22 arrives on 4 November with the Viktor scaling buff, the Locke, Thresh and Yasuo trims and Mel's reworked W.
  • The Round 4 drafts are a fair guide to what is strong right now: Caitlyn and Ambessa for CFO, Orianna and LeBlanc for Knight, Aatrox and Renekton for 369, and the Lucian–Milio bot lane for TES all showed up in winning or near-winning games.
  • The lesson from KC's game two is the comeback, not the lead: CFO were ahead for much of the game and lost the one fight that mattered at Elder. In solo queue, a lead that is not converted into objectives is not a lead.
  • If you are climbing with us, the current-patch item on this hub has the 26.21 summary and the two 26.22 preview items have what is coming next week.

What we are watching

Friday's two elimination series, the Round 5 pairings drawn after them, Saturday's three deciders and the quarter-final bracket. On the balance side: Riot's 26.22 notes are expected early next week ahead of the 4 November patch; we will compare them with Phroxzon's full preview and flag any late change.

Phroxzon's preview for patch 26.22 (27 October) lists ten buffs — Aurelion Sol, Corki, Kayle, Maokai, Naafiri, Rumble, Shen, Smolder, Viktor and Zaahen — three nerfs (Locke, Thresh, Yasuo) and adjustments to Aurora, Mel and Renekton, plus a buffed Overlord's Bloodmail and a rebalanced Doran's Bow versus Doran's Blade.
