Worlds 2026 Swiss Round 3, day two: T1 and BLG go 2–1, Anyone's Legend and Team Secret Whales out at 0–3 β€” Round 4 best-of-threes on 28–30 October from 20:00 UTC

Monday's four matches closed Swiss Round 3: T1 beat CTBC Flying Oyster and Bilibili Gaming beat Karmine Corp in the best-of-ones, while LOS swept Team Secret Whales and Team Liquid swept Anyone's Legend in the elimination series β€” the LCP and LPL top seeds leave Worlds at 0–3. The Round 4 draw pairs Movistar KOI–T1, LYON–Invictus Gaming and Top Esports–Bilibili Gaming for quarter-final places and Karmine Corp–CFO, Team Liquid–LOS and Hanwha Life–G2 for survival, all best-of-three on 28–30 October at 20:00 and 23:00 UTC; Tuesday is a rest day.

  • The four results (LoL Esports on X, 26 October): T1 beat CTBC Flying Oyster in the 17:00 UTC best-of-one (posted 17:40 UTC) after trailing early; Bilibili Gaming beat Karmine Corp (18:40 UTC); LOS beat Team Secret Whales 2–0 (20:40 UTC); Team Liquid beat Anyone's Legend 2–0 (22:43 UTC) β€” the LCS champions eliminated the LPL champions, a result LoL Esports called historic.
  • Standings after Round 3: 3–0 and through β€” Dplus KIA, Gen.G. 2–1 β€” Invictus Gaming, Top Esports, LYON, Movistar KOI, T1, Bilibili Gaming. 1–2 β€” Hanwha Life, G2, CFO, Karmine Corp. 0–3 and out β€” Team Secret Whales, Anyone's Legend.
  • Round 4, all best-of-three (LoL Esports schedule post, 23:55 UTC): Wednesday 28 October β€” Movistar KOI vs T1 at 20:00 UTC, LYON vs Invictus Gaming at 23:00; Thursday 29 β€” CFO vs Karmine Corp at 20:00, Bilibili Gaming vs Top Esports at 23:00; Friday 30 β€” Team Liquid vs LOS at 20:00, G2 vs Hanwha Life at 23:00. That is 9 pm and midnight CET β€” later than the 17:00 UTC starts of Rounds 1–3.
  • How it works: the winners of the three 2–1 series qualify at 3–1 and the losers drop to 2–2; the losers of the three 1–2 series go out at 1–3 and the winners reach 2–2. Round 5 on Saturday 31 October pairs the six 2–2 teams for the last three quarter-final places.
  • What it means for your climb: Worlds is played on 26.20 while ranked is on 26.21, and Phroxzon's 26.22 preview (27 October) already lists Viktor and Smolder for buffs and Locke, Thresh and Yasuo for nerfs from 4 November β€” this week's stage picks are not November's ranked meta.
  • What we are watching: the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday results (an item the morning after each), the Round 5 pairings on 31 October, the quarter-final bracket (knockouts from 3 November, final on 14 November) and the full 26.22 preview with numbers.

How day four went

Monday was the second half of Swiss Round 3: two best-of-ones between the 1–1 teams and two elimination best-of-threes between the 0–2 teams. T1 and Bilibili Gaming took the Bo1s to join the 2–1 pool, LOS and Team Liquid won their Bo3s 2–0 to stay alive at 1–2, and Team Secret Whales and Anyone's Legend are the first two teams out of Worlds 2026. The results are from LoL Esports' posts on X; the game details below are from Hotspawn's and GosuGamers' recaps.

The four results

  • T1 1–0 CTBC Flying Oyster (Bo1, posted 17:40 UTC): CFO's Doggo had the stronger early game and T1 trailed by roughly two thousand gold before a mid-game CFO mistake let the reigning champions turn it β€” T1 move to 2–1.
  • Bilibili Gaming 1–0 Karmine Corp (18:40 UTC): a near-flawless BLG game with Viper's Kai'Sa to the fore; BLG move to 2–1, KC drop to 1–2.
  • LOS 2–0 Team Secret Whales (20:40 UTC): TSW led game one until around the 30-minute mark before LOS closed it near 40 minutes; Zest's Kennen was the pick of game two. The LCP's first seed is out at 0–3.
  • Team Liquid 2–0 Anyone's Legend (22:43 UTC): a one-sided game one and a closer game two settled by Yeon's Xayah; AL, the LPL's first seed, go home at 0–3 β€” LoL Esports called the win historic for the LCS champions.

The Round 4 draw

The draw (LoL Esports on X, 22:55–22:59 UTC) splits the twelve remaining teams into six best-of-threes, with a rest day on Tuesday:

  • Wednesday 28 October: Movistar KOI vs T1 at 20:00 UTC; LYON vs Invictus Gaming at 23:00 UTC β€” both 2–1 series, winners through at 3–1.
  • Thursday 29 October: CTBC Flying Oyster vs Karmine Corp at 20:00 UTC (1–2, loser out); Bilibili Gaming vs Top Esports at 23:00 UTC (2–1, winner through).
  • Friday 30 October: Team Liquid vs LOS at 20:00 UTC; G2 vs Hanwha Life at 23:00 UTC β€” both 1–2 series, losers out at 1–3.

Start times are 1 pm and 4 pm Pacific, which is 9 pm and midnight CET now that Europe is on winter time β€” three hours later than the Round 1–3 starts. The losers of the three 2–1 series and the winners of the three 1–2 series meet at 2–2 in Round 5 on Saturday 31 October for the last three quarter-final places; Dplus KIA and Gen.G are already through from their 3–0 runs.

What it means for your climb

  • Worlds is played on patch 26.20 while ranked runs 26.21: the picks on stage are a patch behind your queue, and two behind November.
  • Phroxzon's 26.22 preview landed the same morning (27 October): Viktor, Smolder and Aurelion Sol among the buffs, Locke, Thresh and Yasuo nerfed, Mel's reflect removed β€” from 4 November, none of it is visible on stage.
  • The Kai'Sa, Xayah and Kennen games are a reminder that the carries still decide Swiss series; in solo queue the same champions run on 26.21 numbers, where Varus bot keeps his 22 October hotfix buff.
  • Season 3 ranked ends in early January on our estimate (Riot has not dated it), so the Swiss weeks are the start of the end-of-season push; nothing in this round changes that.

What we are watching

Wednesday's two series (Movistar KOI–T1 opens the round), the Thursday and Friday results, the Round 5 pairings on Saturday 31 October, the quarter-final bracket with the knockouts from 3 November and the final on 14 November, and the full 26.22 preview with numbers.

League of Legends patch 26.21 is live

Patch 26.21 is live on 21 October: the first balance pass since the Worlds patch locked, aimed at settling ranked for the end-of-season climb. Lee Sin, Caitlyn, Jinx, Yone, Tristana, Qiyana, Rammus, Nidalee and Viktor are trimmed; Azir, Orianna, Ryze, Miss Fortune, Taliyah, Darius, Nunu and Sion get buffs; Varus and Locke are reworked in place; Bastion Breaker's Sabotage now lasts the whole game; replay downloads are capped at 10 an hour. Worlds is played on 26.20, and nothing changes for ranked rewards or the season end. Hotfixed 22 October: Varus buffed alongside a Q bug fix.

Patch 26.22 preview: Mel loses the reflect for good, Viktor and Smolder among ten buffs, Locke, Thresh and Yasuo nerfed, Doran's Bow trimmed β€” the patch lands 4 November

Phroxzon's preview for patch 26.22 (27 October) lists ten buffs β€” Aurelion Sol, Corki, Kayle, Maokai, Naafiri, Rumble, Shen, Smolder, Viktor and Zaahen β€” three nerfs (Locke, Thresh, Yasuo) and adjustments to Aurora, Mel and Renekton, plus a buffed Overlord's Bloodmail and a rebalanced Doran's Bow versus Doran's Blade. Mel's mini-update ships in this patch and her W reflect is gone for good: Riot tried several versions that kept it and found none that worked for both sides. Numbers follow later; the patch is due 4 November, so ranked stays on 26.21 for one more week.

Worlds 2026 Swiss Round 2: Gen.G, LYON, Dplus KIA and Movistar KOI go 2–0 as the LPL wins three β€” Round 3 on 25–26 October brings the first best-of-threes

Day two of the Worlds 2026 Swiss stage ended with four unbeaten teams: Gen.G beat Hanwha Life in the LCK finals rematch, LYON came back on Karmine Corp, Dplus KIA turned a long T1 lead around at Elder and Movistar KOI controlled CTBC Flying Oyster throughout. The LPL got off the mark through TES, IG and BLG; G2 took their first win against LOS. Round 3 runs on 25 and 26 October from 17:00 UTC β€” the 2–0 and 0–2 teams play best-of-threes, the 1–1 teams one more best-of-one β€” and Europe's clocks have gone back, so every start is an hour earlier on the European clock.
