CS:GO Ranks vs CS2 Premier Rating: Every Old Rank in 2026 Numbers

Every CS:GO rank group as a CS2 Premier rating — Leetify's 2024 match and our 2026 update — with how the conversion works and why the same rank now means a higher number.

Updated 2026-10-21 · 6 min read · by the BoostPirate crew
  • Global Elite ≈ 26,300+
  • Gold Nova ≈ 7,600–14,100
  • Old median: Gold Nova
  • Matched by percentile

If you played CS:GO, you think in badges: Silver, Gold Nova, the Guardians, the Eagles, Supreme, Global Elite. CS2's Premier mode gives you a number instead. So what's a Gold Nova in CS Rating — and is 15,000 "MG" or "Eagle"? Valve never published a conversion, but there's an honest way to make one: match each CS:GO rank to the Premier rating that sits at the same place on the ladder. Below are Leetify's 2024 matches and our 2026 update, which accounts for how far Premier ratings have drifted since. Checked 2026-10-21.

Short answer (2026 ladder): Silver ≈ 1,000 – 7,500, Gold Nova ≈ 7,600 – 14,100, MG I – MG Elite ≈ 14,200 – 18,800, DMG – LEM ≈ 18,900 – 23,800, Supreme ≈ 23,900 – 26,200 and Global Elite ≈ 26,300+ CS Rating. These are our estimate — the same share of players above you then and now.
Key takeaways
  • No official conversion exists. Premier ratings and CS:GO badges come from different systems; the fair comparison is by percentile.
  • Ratings have inflated. In Leetify's 2024 match, Global Elite started at 20,001; on today's ladder the same top 1.2% starts at about 26,300.
  • The old median was Gold Nova — 33.6% of CS:GO players. Today's Premier average is about 12,000, inside the Gold Nova band.
  • The badges still exist in CS2's Competitive mode (one per map) and Wingman — just not in Premier.

CS:GO shares: Leetify, 4,300,000 matchmaking players (August 2023). 2024 ranges: Leetify, matched against 2,200,000 Premier players (September 2024). 2026 ranges: our estimate — the Premier ratings holding the same share of players in the July 2026 Premier sample, rounded to 100.

How the conversion works

Your old CS:GO rank as a Premier rating, matched by position on the ladder: Silver I to Silver Elite Master, 29% of CS:GO players, was 1,000–6,768 in Leetify's 2024 match and about 1,000–7,500 on the 2026 ladder; Gold Nova, 33.6%, 7,502–11,178 then and 7,600–14,100 now; Master Guardian I to MG Elite, 21.2%, 11,179–14,588 then and 14,200–18,800 now; DMG to LEM, 12.4%, 14,589–18,156 then and 18,900–23,800 now; Supreme, 2.6%, 18,157–20,000 then and 23,900–26,200 now; Global Elite, 1.2%, 20,001+ then and 26,300+ now

The idea is simple. In August 2023, 1.2% of CS:GO matchmaking players were Global Elite — the top 1.2%. Find the Premier rating that only the top 1.2% of today's players reach, and that's "Global Elite" in CS Rating. Do the same at every group boundary and you get the table above. Leetify did this against its September 2024 Premier sample; we repeated it against the July 2026 sample behind our CS2 rank distribution.

What it doesn't tell you: whether you would be the same rank. A CS:GO badge was earned over hundreds of matches in a different game; a Premier rating moves with every result. Treat the table as "how good this rank was, in today's numbers".

Why the 2024 and 2026 numbers differ

Premier ratings have drifted upward. In Leetify's September 2024 match, the top 16.2% (DMG and above) started at 14,589; in July 2026 the same share started at about 18,900. Seasons recalibrate ratings, active players climb over time, and new accounts start low — so the same number means less each year. That's why an old "15,000 = Eagle" chart now undersells Eagles by a full colour.
