LoL Ranked Rewards 2026: Victorious Skins, Chromas and Borders Explained

How ranked rewards work since the 2025 overhaul — the 15-win Victorious mission, why Iron players get the skin too, how chromas follow your peak tier, the border for a full year, the Honor requirement, and the 2025–2026 Victorious champions.

Updated 2026-10-09 · 7 min read · by the BoostPirate crew
  • 15 ranked wins per season
  • Any rank earns the skin
  • Chroma by peak tier
  • 3 skins in a year → border

The Victorious skin is the one reward in League you cannot buy: a skin granted for playing ranked, with a chroma that advertises the tier you reached. Since 2025 it is no longer locked behind Gold — every ranked player can earn it with 15 wins — and the tier only decides which chroma you get. There are now three skins a year, one per season, plus a ranked border for players who collect all three. Here is exactly how the 2026 rewards work, what each tier unlocks, and the mistakes that cost people a skin they had earned.

Short answer: win 15 ranked games (Solo/Duo and Flex combined) during a season and keep a clean Honor standing (no active penalties) when the season closes to receive that season's Victorious skin when it ends. The chroma is by peak tier reached during the season (Bronze → Challenger); earning the skin in all three seasons of the year adds a ranked border for your highest finishing tier. 2026's skins so far: Victorious Braum (Season 1) and Victorious Rengar (Season 2); Season 3's has not been announced.
Key takeaways
  • No rank requirement since Season 1 2025 — 15 wins is the whole condition for the base skin.
  • Chroma by peak tier: the highest tier you held during the season, not where you finish.
  • Border by finishing tier, only if you earned all three Victorious skins of the year.
  • Honor can cancel it: an active penalty when the season closes forfeits the rewards.

Before 2025 the skin required Gold or above (or 80 Split Points in 2024's two-split year); Riot's 25 November 2024 ranked update replaced that with the 15-win mission so that every ranked player has a reward to play for. The peak-tier chroma is what preserves the status signal — a Challenger chroma still means something.

Which chroma each tier unlocks

The chroma follows your peak tier during the season, so a player who touches Platinum in June and finishes Gold still receives the Platinum chroma. The tiers and their ladder position on patch 26.20:

Riot usually reveals the Victorious champion in the patch notes that open the season or a few weeks in; the Season 3 skin had not been named when this page was last checked (2026-10-09). The season's end — and so the deadline for the wins — is projected, not announced; the Season 3 end date guide tracks it.

How people lose a skin they earned

  1. 1 · Counting Flex and Solo/Duo separately.

They are combined — 8 Flex wins and 7 Solo/Duo wins is 15. The client mission shows the running total.

  2. 2 · Finishing the wins after the switch.

Wins after the Season 1 2027 patch count toward 2027's first skin, not Season 3's. Finish before the final 2026 patch is replaced.

  3. 3 · An Honor penalty in the last weeks.

Rewards need a clean Honor standing (no active penalties) when the season closes. A chat restriction active on the day the season closes forfeits them; it does not matter when the wins were earned.

  4. 4 · A boosting penalty.

Riot lists "excluded from the current season's ranked rewards" among the boosting penalties — one more reason the safety guide matters.

  5. 5 · Missing the border by one season.

The border needs all three skins. If you skipped Season 1, the border is gone for the year — but the skins and chromas are not.

Boosting for the rewards

Two orders map directly onto the reward rules. Net wins finish the 15-win mission — a booster at your tier plays until the win count is there, usually within a day or two. A division boost to the next tier line upgrades the chroma, and because the chroma uses the peak tier it does not matter if the account drifts back afterward. Duo on either keeps your login private.

Short of the wins or one division under the chroma you want? Net wins finish the mission; the Solo/Duo boost puts the next tier on the account before the season closes, priced live with a delivery estimate.

FAQ

Common questions

How do you get the Victorious skin in 2026?
Win 15 ranked games during the season — Solo/Duo and Flex wins count together — and finish with a clean Honor standing. There is no rank requirement for the base skin since Season 1 2025.
Do you need Gold for the Victorious skin?
Not any more. Through 2024 the skin needed Gold or 80 Split Points; from 2025 any rank with 15 wins earns it, and your peak tier decides the chroma instead.
What were the 2026 Victorious skins?
Braum for Season 1 (For Demacia), Rengar for Season 2 (Pandemonium, shipped with patch 26.14); the Season 3 champion is announced a few weeks before the season closes. In 2025 they were Twisted Fate, Fiora and Draven.
Can boosting cost me the rewards?
Yes. Riot's boosting penalty includes exclusion from the current season's ranked rewards, so a piloted boost carries that risk; duo and coaching do not involve account sharing.
