Worlds 2026 Swiss Round 5: Karmine Corp sweep MKOI, LYON beat Los Grandes 2–1, BLG knock out Hanwha Life — quarter-finals drawn, best-of-fives from 3 November at 22:00 UTC

The Worlds 2026 Swiss stage ended on 31 October with the three 2–2 deciders. Karmine Corp beat Movistar KOI 2–0, LYON came from a game down to beat Los Grandes 2–1, and Bilibili Gaming swept Hanwha Life 2–0, so the LEC, the LCS and the LPL each send one more team through while the reigning MSI champions go home. The quarter-finals were drawn straight after: Top Esports vs Invictus Gaming on 3 November, Gen.G vs LYON on 4 November, Dplus KIA vs BLG on 5 November and T1 vs Karmine Corp on 6 November — all best-of-fives in Allen, Texas, starting 22:00 UTC.

  • Where it is: Riot's LoL Esports account on X posted the three results as they happened on 31 October (KC 18:35 UTC, LYON 21:38 UTC, BLG 23:38 UTC), the four quarter-final pairings and the bracket at 23:54–23:56 UTC, and the quarter-final schedule at 00:42 UTC on 1 November; series statistics are from Liquipedia's match pages (SAP data).
  • Karmine Corp 2–0 Movistar KOI (17:03–18:35 UTC): game one went 40 minutes at 13–14 kills, but KC took the Dragon Soul (five of the six dragons) and both Barons despite MKOI taking an Elder; game two was 26 minutes at 18–4 with Yike 9/0/5 on Pantheon. It is KC's first Worlds and their first knockout stage; MKOI, who had beaten KC 3–0 in the LEC Summer playoffs in September, go out at 2–3.
  • LYON 2–1 Los Grandes (18:51–21:38 UTC): LOS took game one in 35 minutes (11–8, Baron into the Nexus); LYON won a 47-minute game two at 9–9 kills while behind in gold, ending it as LOS were taking the Elder Dragon, then closed game three in 37 minutes at 17–7 with Berserker 8/3/6 on Lucian and Saint's Taliyah. LYON, the LCS second seed, are the host region's last team; LOS leave at 2–3.
  • Bilibili Gaming 2–0 Hanwha Life (21:54–23:38 UTC): a 42-minute game one at 19–18 turned on Knight's Orianna quadra kill and Shockwave, with Viper's Ezreal finishing 6/0/10 on 51,000 damage; game two took 33 minutes at 14–3 with towers 10–0 and Knight 7/0/2 on Locke, closed with the Dragon Soul and an ace. Knight was series MVP; HLE, the MSI champions, are out at 2–3.
  • The quarter-finals, all best-of-five with Fearless Draft in Allen, Texas, at 22:00 UTC (2 pm PT / 11 pm CET / 7 am KST next day): Top Esports vs Invictus Gaming on Tuesday 3 November, Gen.G vs LYON on Wednesday 4 November, Dplus KIA vs BLG on Thursday 5 November and T1 vs Karmine Corp on Friday 6 November. The DK–BLG and T1–KC winners meet in one semi-final, the TES–IG and GEN–LYON winners in the other (7–8 November); the final is on 14 November at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Note the US clock change: 2 pm PT is now 22:00 UTC, an hour later than last week's slots.
  • What it means for your climb: the pros are on patch 26.20 while ranked is on 26.21 and moves to 26.22 on 4 November, so copy picks with care — Pantheon jungle appeared in three of Saturday's seven games (two wins), Locke closed the Swiss stage for BLG but has his Q damage and W duration trimmed in 26.22, and the winning bot lanes were scaling carries beside an enchanter (Yunara and Lulu twice, Sivir and Lulu, Lucian and Milio). What we are watching: Riot's 26.22 notes around 3 November, the quarter-finals from Tuesday, and the first results from Allen.

How the Swiss stage ended

Saturday 31 October was the last day of the Swiss stage at Worlds 2026 in Allen, Texas: three best-of-threes between the six teams on 2–2, winners through to the quarter-finals, losers out. The day ran from 17:03 UTC, when Movistar KOI and Karmine Corp went on stage, to 23:38 UTC, when Bilibili Gaming closed out Hanwha Life. The eight quarter-finalists are Gen.G and Dplus KIA at 3–0, T1, Invictus Gaming and Top Esports at 3–1, and Karmine Corp, LYON and Bilibili Gaming at 3–2. Movistar KOI, Los Grandes and Hanwha Life go out at 2–3, joining CTBC Flying Oyster, G2 and Team Liquid at 1–3 and Team Secret Whales and Anyone's Legend at 0–3.

The three results

  • Karmine Corp 2–0 Movistar KOI. Game one lasted 40:02 and MKOI actually out-killed KC 14–13 and took an Elder Dragon, but KC had taken the Dragon Soul (five of the game's six dragons), took both Barons and ended it with a 76.9K to 73.6K gold lead. Game two was over in 26:10 at 18–4: Yike went 9/0/5 on Pantheon, Caliste 5/1/7 on Sivir, and MKOI took one tower all game. It is KC's first Worlds appearance and their first knockout stage; MKOI, who swept KC 3–0 in the LEC Summer playoffs on 19 September, are out at 2–3.
  • LYON 2–1 Los Grandes. LOS won game one in 35:06 at 11–8, Duduhh taking first blood on Kai'Sa and the Baron carrying them into the Nexus. Game two went 47:06 at 9–9 kills: LOS were ahead in gold (88.2K to 85.2K) and were taking the Elder Dragon when LYON ended the game on the other side of the map, Berserker's Yunara finishing 6/2/1. Game three took 36:42 at 17–7, with Berserker 8/3/6 on Lucian, Saint 4/4/7 on Taliyah and Inspired 2/0/10 on Nocturne; LOS took the one Baron of the game but LYON took nine towers to their six and the Nexus.
  • Bilibili Gaming 2–0 Hanwha Life. Game one was the closest of the day at 41:51 and 19–18 kills; HLE took the only Baron, but Knight's Orianna picked up a quadra kill in the fight that flipped the game and his Shockwave decided it, while Viper's Ezreal went 6/0/10 for nearly 51,000 damage. Game two lasted 32:44 at 14–3 with towers 10–0 for BLG: Knight went 7/0/2 on Locke, Bin 4/0/5 on Olaf, and BLG closed it with the Dragon Soul and an ace. Knight was the series MVP. Hanwha Life, the MSI 2026 champions, are out at 2–3.

The quarter-final draw

The draw show followed at 23:51 UTC and the pairings were posted within five minutes. Riot's bracket puts Dplus KIA against Bilibili Gaming and Karmine Corp against T1 in one half, and Top Esports against Invictus Gaming and Gen.G against LYON in the other. The quarter-final schedule went up at 00:42 UTC on 1 November:

  • Quarter-final 1, Tuesday 3 November: Top Esports vs Invictus Gaming — an all-LPL series between the third and fourth seeds.
  • Quarter-final 2, Wednesday 4 November: Gen.G vs LYON — the LCK first seed against the LCS second seed.
  • Quarter-final 3, Thursday 5 November: Dplus KIA vs Bilibili Gaming — LCK fourth seed against LPL second seed.
  • Quarter-final 4, Friday 6 November: T1 vs Karmine Corp — the LCK third seed against the LEC third seed.

Every knockout match is a best-of-five with Fearless Draft and starts at 22:00 UTC — 2 pm PT, 4 pm CT, 7 pm BRT, 11 pm CET, 6 am CST and 7 am KST the next morning. The US clocks went back on 1 November, so the same 2 pm Pacific slot is now an hour later in UTC than last week's Swiss games. The semi-finals are on 7 and 8 November, also in Allen, and the final is on Saturday 14 November at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

What it means for your climb

  • Worlds is still on patch 26.20; your ranked games are on 26.21 and move to 26.22 on 4 November. Several of Saturday's picks have already been touched: Viktor (kyeahoo, game two) gets scaling back in 26.22, Locke (Knight's closer) loses damage on his Q stacks and a second of W duration, and Yasuo and Thresh are trimmed.
  • Pantheon jungle was picked three times in seven games and won twice (Yike for KC, Xun for BLG; Inspired lost game one on it) — it is a comfortable solo-queue pick in the 26.21 meta too, as long as you path towards the lane that is winning.
  • The winning bot lanes were scaling carries next to an enchanter: Yunara and Lulu won twice (LYON in game two, BLG in game two), Sivir and Lulu and Ashe and Seraphine won for KC, Lucian and Milio closed LYON's series, and Ezreal and Kai'Sa won beside Nautilus. Safe duos that reward clean fundamentals rather than mechanics-heavy picks.
  • If you are climbing this week, play what you know: 26.22 arrives mid-week, and the notes, expected around 3 November, will tell you which of these champions keep their numbers.
