- 8 ranks × 5 divisions
- 40 steps
- V lowest, I highest
- Legend: a playlist, not a rank
Rainbow Six Siege has eight ranks, and since June 2026 every one of them, Champion included, splits into five divisions. That makes a 40-step ladder from Copper V to Champion I, with a separate solo-queue playlist, the Legend Division, running beside the top of it. This guide lays the ladder out as it stands on 2 November 2026, in Y11S3 Operation Split Fire: every rank and division in order with Ubisoft's own badges, what V and I mean, how Champion and its leaderboard work, where the Legend Division fits, how rank rewards are decided, what Ubisoft says about the rank distribution, and how the ladder changed this year. For how Rank Points move you between the steps, read Ranked 3.0 explained.
- Eight ranks × five divisions = 40 steps from Copper V to Champion I.
- V is the bottom of a rank and I the top. Gold I sits directly below Platinum V.
- Champion has had five divisions since 2 June 2026, and its leaderboard starts at Champion I.
- The Legend Division isn't a rank above Champion. It's a solo-queue playlist with its own entry rules, open since 15 October 2026.
- Season rewards follow the highest rank you reach, even if you drop later.
Every R6 rank in order
These are the 40 divisions with the badges you see in game, lowest first. Each row is one rank; read it left to right from V to I, then drop to the next row.

What V, IV, III, II and I mean
Divisions count down as you climb. A new Gold player starts at
Gold V, works up
through IV, III and II to
Gold I, and the next promotion is
Platinum V. On Ubisoft's badges the numeral sits in the middle of the shield, and the
division I badge of every rank shows a star instead of a numeral, so a star always marks the top division of a rank.
Before Ranked 3.0 the top rank worked differently. Ubisoft's update put it plainly: "Champion Rank now includes 5 divisions, matching the rest of the Ranked ladder." That's why rank lists built before 2 June 2026 don't match the ladder you play on today.
What a division is worth in points is not public. Ubisoft publishes no Rank Point thresholds, no division width and no Champion cut-off; it only says that wins over stronger teams pay more and losses to lower-ranked teams cost more. The badge on your card and the RP change on the post-match screen are the official numbers you get.
Champion and the Champion I leaderboard
Champion is the top rank and Champion I the highest division you can hold. "The
Champion Leaderboard starts with Champion I," Ubisoft's System Override page says, and the Ranked 3.0 update describes the featured
leaderboard living "at the Champion I rank, showcasing the highest-performing players".
Three rules make Champion different from the ranks below it:
- You can't place into it. In June 2026 Ubisoft said players "cannot place directly into Champion"; it "must be earned through consistent performance over time".
- Tighter squads. Champions can queue only with teammates within two full ranks: Emerald, Diamond and Champion.
- The Legend Division gate. Being Champion this season is the first requirement for the Legend Division.
Beside Champion: the Legend Division
Ubisoft said from the start of Ranked 3.0 that "in Season 3, the Legend Division will replace" the featured leaderboard, and it opened in the middle of Y11S3, on 15 October 2026. It's a "SoloQ-only" playlist for the highest-skilled players, not a rank you climb into from Champion I. To enter you need:
- a current Champion rank, and Platinum or higher last season;
- a positive reputation standing;
- 2-step verification with an authenticator app on your Ubisoft account;
- on PC, the ShieldGuard Secure Platform: Secure Boot, Memory Integrity (HVCI) and TPM 2.0 switched on.
Players lock a region and play solo for a place on that region's leaderboard, which anyone can view. Every Legend player gets a dynamic banner with their standing, and the top 100 get a charm next season showing their final position. The full rules are in our Legend Division guide.
How you get a rank and keep it
Ranked opens once your account has a premium offer, reaches level 50 and has 2-step verification on; our unlock guide walks through it. After that:
- Five placement matches.
Every season starts with them. "All ranks will be reset", but your previous seasons influence where you land. See placement matches.
- Rank Points after every match.
Since Ranked 3.0 there is no hidden MMR: your RP are your rating, and KDA doesn't count.
- The Demotion Shield.
A loss that would derank you leaves you at 0 RP in your division instead, if you started that match above 0 RP. The next loss drops you.
Rank rewards: your highest rank counts
"Rank-based rewards are tied to the highest Rank achieved during the season, even if a player later deranks." So if you touch
Diamond V in week six and finish the season in Emerald, the Diamond reward is yours.
The rank reward is a seasonal charm and card background, delivered at the start of the next season.
Two other rewards don't depend on rank at all. Every ranked match feeds the Competitive Rewards track, 2 points for a win and 1 for a loss with a reward every 10 points up to 150, and "regardless of the rank you reach, you can still earn the exclusive seasonal headgear just by playing". The ranked rewards guide lists every step of the track.
Where most players sit
Ubisoft doesn't publish a rank distribution, so any percentage table you find is a third-party estimate, and one made before 2 June 2026 can't show Champion's five divisions at all. The only official word came in Ubisoft's June 2026 Community Checkpoint: players "highlighted issues with rank distribution early in the season, particularly clustering in higher ranks", which Ubisoft said "is not intended for long-term experience". Its fix is on the placement side, with "future adjustments to placement matches" aiming "to create clearer separation between ranks". Expect the shape of the ladder to keep shifting from season to season while that tuning runs.

Help with the climb
If the rank is the goal and the hours aren't there, our Rainbow Six Siege services are priced division by division from the same engine as checkout, on PC. Diamond V to Champion V is $175.50 today, and Platinum V to Emerald V $45.00. We boost to Champion V; the higher Champion divisions and the Legend Division aren't sold. Rainbow Six Siege boosting isn't open for orders yet: get the launch alert on the R6 page.
Know the rules first. Ubisoft's Player Protection Core Rules (31 July 2026) list "Paying or using external services to inflate rank" as boosting, with sanctions up to a permanent ban. Read our Risk Disclosure and is R6 boosting bannable? before you order. Coaching is the option that stays inside the rules.
