These are estimates. FACEIT publishes no formula: it says a match doesn't give a fixed ±25 (±30 in Premium Match) and that the amount follows the win probability set by the Elo gap between the teams, plus internal weights for premades with a wide skill spread. We use the standard Elo curve scaled so an even match is exactly ±25 / ±30. Leaver rule from FACEIT: more than 5 minutes disconnected = twice the loss, half the gain. How FACEIT decides the Elo in a match
FACEIT's help centre names two inputs: match balance — the win probability calculated from the total Elo gap between the two teams when the lobby launches — and party disparity, internal weights for pre-made parties whose players are far apart in skill. Win as the underdog and you take more than the even-match 25; win as the favourite and you take less, while a loss costs the favourite more. A Premium Match moves 20% more Elo either way. Since 2024 Levels 1–9 also get small adjustments for notable performances; FACEIT Rating itself never changes your Elo.
The practical point is in the break-even column: at a 100-Elo disadvantage a win pays 32 and a loss costs 18, so you only need to win about 36% of those matches to hold your Elo. Facing stronger teams is not a punishment — the system prices it in. What you can't afford is leaving: 2× the loss is the steepest number on this page.

Common questions
How much Elo do you get for a win on FACEIT?
It depends on the matchup. FACEIT says results don't give a fixed ±25 Elo (±30 in Premium Match): the amount comes from your team's chance of winning, worked out from the Elo gap between the teams. An even match is worth about 25; beat a stronger team and you gain more, win as the favourite and you gain less. The calculator estimates both sides.
Why did I only gain 15 Elo for a win?
Because your team was the favourite — the higher your team's average Elo against the other side, the less a win pays and the more a loss costs. FACEIT also applies internal weights to premade parties with a wide skill spread, and for Levels 1–9 small adjustments for notable performances, so two players in the same match can see different numbers.
What happens to my Elo if I leave a FACEIT match?
After more than five minutes disconnected in total you count as a leaver: you lose twice the match's Elo if your team loses and get only half the gain if it wins, even if you reconnect. Everyone in your party takes the full standard loss.
Does K/D or FACEIT Rating change my Elo?
FACEIT Rating doesn't — FACEIT says it has no effect on your Elo balance. Since 2024 FACEIT does make small adjustments for notable in-game performances, but only for Levels 1–9; team result and win probability stay the main factors.
