Marvel Rivals placement predictor

Pick the rank you finished last season β€” or tell us you're new β€” and see where your ten Season 11 placements start, how high and how low you can land, and what your record and performance change. Every rule is NetEase's own.

Your own performance β€” compared with players on your heroes at your rank

NetEase publishes no table of wins to divisions, so your record and performance show the direction from your predicted rank, not an exact result. The games-left box only sets the booster estimate below.

  • Your record 5–5: NetEase says a 5–5 record lands close to your predicted rank, Gold III.
  • Your performance Average play sits between the two ends of the βˆ’100 to +100 adjustment NetEase applies after the ten games (since Season 7).
  • Finish all ten placements: NetEase gives no season rewards to anyone who doesn't.
  • Placing in a party: at most three players, highest and lowest under three divisions apart β€” and matchmaking uses the highest-ranked player.
  • The predicted rank is used for matchmaking during placements; it is not your final rank.

Rules from NetEase's Season 5 patch notes (12 November 2025: placements, the predicted rank, the caps and the placement party) and Season 7 (18 March 2026: the βˆ’100 to +100 performance adjustment), checked 2 November 2026 β€” we re-read them when the Season 11 notes are out. How Marvel Rivals placements work

Since Season 5 (12 November 2025) your first ten ranked matches of every full season are placement matches. The game predicts a starting rank three divisions below the rank you finished last season: Celestial II, Celestial I, Eternity and One Above All all start from Grandmaster II, and Silver III or lower starts from Bronze III, the floor. If you have never finished 10 ranked matches in a season you count as a new player and start from Silver III. Matchmaking uses the predicted rank during your placements β€” NetEase is clear that it isn't your final rank.

The ten games decide where you land: up to two divisions above last season's final rank, never higher than Celestial I and never lower than Bronze III, and a 5–5 record lands close to your predicted rank. Since Season 7 (18 March 2026) the game also tracks your own performance in each placement and adjusts the result by βˆ’100 to +100 competitive points once the ten games are done β€” about one division either way at the widely reported 100 points a division, a figure NetEase's notes don't print. NetEase publishes no table of how far each extra win takes you, so the predictor shows the range and the direction rather than inventing an exact rank.

Half-seasons don't reset: the rank you place at carries into the season's second half. You need all ten placements for any season rewards. Season 11 starts on 13 November 2026, the date on NetEase's Season 10.5 roadmap as reported by Beebom; the start time and the Season 11 patch notes aren't out yet (checked 2 November 2026). Skipped placements last season? NetEase's Season 5 notes gave players who skipped those placements a fixed Platinum III start in Season 6, but haven't said whether anything similar applies to Season 11 β€” the predictor uses the last final rank you have.

Last season β€” your final rank. Starts at β€” the predicted rank your placements start from. Highest β€” the highest rank you can place. Down β€” divisions between your final rank and the predicted start (Eternity counts as one step above Celestial I, One Above All as one above Eternity).

Leaving or going AFK in a placement

NetEase's Season 5 notes set a 90-second rule for placement matches. If a player disconnects or goes AFK and the match ends more than 90 seconds later, that player gets a placement loss, a ranked suspension and an offence count, whatever the result. Their party members take the loss on a defeat but no ranked suspension; for the other teammates a defeat doesn't count. A match that ends within 90 seconds of the disconnect settles normally.

How the season reset changed

  • Season 1 (10 January 2025) β€” Celestial added between Grandmaster and Eternity; ranks reset seven divisions.
  • 11 February 2025 β€” NetEase drops the planned half-season reset: the x.5 halves keep your rank.
  • Season 2 (11 April 2025) β€” a nine-division reset; Competitive needs account level 15; bans from Gold III.
  • Seasons 3 and 4 (11 July and 12 September 2025) β€” seven-division resets.
  • Season 5 (14 November 2025) β€” ten placement matches replace the flat reset, from last season's rank minus three divisions.
  • Season 7 (20 March 2026) β€” your performance in placements moves the result by βˆ’100 to +100 points.
  • Season 11 (13 November 2026) β€” the next full season, so placements again (date from NetEase's roadmap).

FAQ

Common questions

How is my Marvel Rivals placement rank predicted?

From your final rank last season minus three divisions β€” a Platinum I finish predicts Gold I. Celestial II, Celestial I, Eternity and One Above All all predict Grandmaster II, and anything from Silver III down predicts Bronze III, the floor. A player who has never finished 10 ranked matches in a season is new and starts from Silver III. The game uses the prediction for matchmaking during your ten placements.

What is the highest rank I can place in Marvel Rivals?

Up to two divisions above your final rank last season, and never above Celestial I. So a Diamond III finish can place as high as Diamond I, and a Celestial II, Eternity or One Above All finish tops out at Celestial I β€” Eternity has to be won back in regular ranked games.

What happens if I go 5–5 in placements?

NetEase says a 5–5 record lands you close to your predicted rank β€” three divisions below last season. Since Season 7 your own performance in the ten games then moves the result by up to 100 points either way, about one division at the widely reported 100 points a division.

When are the Season 11 placements?

Season 11 starts on 13 November 2026, the date on NetEase's Season 10.5 roadmap; the start time isn't announced yet. Your final Season 10.5 rank sets your predicted rank, and you need all ten placements for the season rewards.
