Marvel Rivals Season 11 (2026): Start Date, Rank Reset, What Stays

When Marvel Rivals Season 11 starts, what the rank reset does to you, what you keep, the Season 10.5 reward to collect first, every season so far and how the reset has changed since launch.

Updated 2026-11-02 · 8 min read · by the BoostPirate crew
  • Starts 13 Nov 2026
  • 10 placements, start −3
  • Heroes and costumes stay
  • S11 roster news: not yet

Season 10.5 has under two weeks to run. On 13 November 2026 Marvel Rivals moves to Season 11, and because it's a full season, not a half, every Competitive rank goes back into placements. This page collects what is known on 2 November 2026: the date and what NetEase hasn't announced yet, what the reset does to your rank, what you keep, the Season 10.5 reward to grab before the switch, and every season so far. NetEase hasn't published a Season 11 page yet; we update this guide when the patch notes land.

Short answer: Season 11 starts on 13 November 2026, the date on NetEase's Season 10.5 roadmap, and Season 10.5 ends the same day. Your rank resets into ten placement matches that start three divisions below your final Season 10.5 rank (Grandmaster II if you finished Celestial II or higher). Heroes, costumes and account level stay. NetEase hasn't announced the start time or who joins the roster yet; the patch notes usually arrive a few days before the season.
Key takeaways
  • 13 November 2026: Season 10.5 ends and Season 11 begins.
  • Your final 10.5 rank minus three divisions is where your Season 11 placements start.
  • Collect the 10.5 Gold costume first (Jeff the Land Shark, Razor-Tooth): ten ranked games in the half and Gold or higher.
  • Only full seasons reset. The x.5 halves have never touched your rank since February 2025.
  • Season 11's new content is unannounced. Leaked names aren't confirmed.

When Season 11 starts, and when Season 10.5 ends

NetEase's official Season 10.5 roadmap puts Season 11 on 13 November 2026, as Beebom reported on 7 October; RivalsMeta's season timer also shows Season 10.5 ending on 13 November. There is no Season 11 page on marvelrivals.com yet: the latest update when we checked was the patch of 28 October 2026 (Version 20261029).

The start time isn't announced. Recent seasons went live after a maintenance window, and NetEase's Season 5, 7, 8 and 9 notes each gave 09:00 UTC as the moment the update began. If Season 11 follows that pattern, 09:00 UTC on 13 November is:

WhereLocal time on 13 November (if 09:00 UTC)
London (GMT)09:00
Paris, Berlin (CET)10:00
New York (EST)04:00
Los Angeles (PST)01:00
Tokyo (JST)18:00

An assumption from past seasons, not an announcement. Daylight saving has ended in Europe and North America by 13 November.

The notes come first. NetEase posts a balance post and patch notes a few days before each season. For Season 10 the balance post came on 8 September and the patch notes on 9 September, two days before the 11 September start; for Season 10.5 both arrived on 6 October, three days before 9 October. Expect Season 11's in the days just before 13 November.

What resets: your rank and ten placements

Since Season 5 a full season doesn't knock a fixed number of divisions off. It sends everyone into ten placement matches. The game predicts your start three divisions below your final rank of the season before, matches you there, and lets the ten games decide. Your final Season 10.5 rank is what counts, so where you stand on 13 November matters more than your peak.

From there, a 5-5 record lands close to the prediction, you can finish at most one or two divisions above your Season 10.5 rank and never above Celestial I, and since Season 7 your own performance adds or removes up to 100 points at the end. Skip placements and you get no season rewards. Every rank, the party limits and the 90-second leaver rule are in our placement matches guide.

These are the rules NetEase set in Season 5 and refined in Season 7. Season 11's notes could change them, so check them before your first game.

What you keep

A new season resets one thing: your Competitive rank. Everything else on your account carries over:

  • Heroes and costumes, including Gold-rank costumes from past halves.
  • Account level and hero proficiency. You won't need to reach level 15 again.
  • Your cross-platform character. NetEase's cross-progression Q&A says collections and paid content live on one linked character; your rank was always kept per platform anyway (PC, PlayStation and Xbox separately).
  • Quick Match and the event modes, which have no ranks to reset.

Rewards to collect before the switch

Season 10.5 has its own Gold-rank reward, and the deadline is the end of the half on 13 November:

  • Jeff the Land Shark portraitJeff the Land Shark
Season 10.5 Gold reward: the Razor-Tooth costume for Jeff the Land Shark (standard portrait shown, not the costume). Game images © MARVEL · © NetEase, Inc.
  • The rule: "complete 10 ranked matches in that season's half and finish at Gold rank or higher at the end of the half-season". The costume checks your rank when the half ends, not your peak, so a late slide below Gold costs it.
  • Crests of Honor and nameplate frames for the higher tiers are granted once per season, at the season's end: for Season 10 that's when 10.5 finishes.
  • Placements matter here too. NetEase gives no season rewards to anyone who didn't finish all ten placement matches.

The full list of rewards by rank, and every Gold costume so far, is in our ranked rewards guide.

What we know about Season 11 content

Very little is official yet. NetEase hasn't revealed who joins the roster in Season 11 or what else the season brings, and the names circulating online come from leaks, not from NetEase. We'll add the details when NetEase posts the trailer and patch notes.

The pattern of 2026 shows what a season start usually brings. A new hero arrived at every season and half-season start this year until Season 10.5, which added none:

Every season also brings a balance post. Season 10.5's (6 October) trimmed Devil Dinosaur portraitDevil Dinosaur's health from 850 to 825 and toned down Gorr the God Butcher portraitGorr the God Butcher and Gambit portraitGambit, three of Season 10's most-banned heroes. Expect Season 11's to reshuffle bans and picks again; our hero bans guide covers how bans work.

Every season so far

After the launch season (Season 0), the first two seasons ran about three months each. Since Season 3 a full season has come every eight to nine weeks, with the x.5 half about four weeks in. These are the full-season starts from NetEase's patch notes:

The 2.5, 3.5 and 4.5 dates aren't listed because we haven't re-checked them against NetEase's notes for this page.

How the rank reset has changed since launch

The reset Season 11 brings is the gentlest Marvel Rivals has had. Until Season 4 a season start was a flat cut: seven divisions in Season 1, nine in Season 2, then seven again in Seasons 3 and 4. A four-division cut planned for the Season 1.5 half was announced in February 2025 and withdrawn the next day ("there will be no rank reset"), and no half-season has reset ranks since.

Season 5 (November 2025) swapped the flat cut for placements, and Season 7 (March 2026) added the performance adjustment of up to 100 points. Compare the two systems for a player who ends a season in Diamond I rank iconDiamond I:

Getting ready: a pre-season checklist

  1. Lock in your Season 10.5 finish.

Your final rank sets your Season 11 start: three divisions below it, Grandmaster II at most.

  2. Get the Gold costume.

Ten ranked matches in Season 10.5 and Gold or higher when it ends.

  3. Plan your placement party.

Three players at most, under three divisions apart, solo or duo from Celestial up.

  4. Keep the evening free.

Leaving a placement match more than 90 seconds before the end means a loss and a ranked suspension.

  5. Read the Season 11 notes.

They usually land a few days before the season. Look for Competitive and placement changes and the new balance numbers.

FAQ

Common questions

When does Marvel Rivals Season 11 start?
On 13 November 2026, the date on NetEase's Season 10.5 roadmap, and Season 10.5 ends the same day. NetEase hasn't announced the start time yet; recent seasons went live after maintenance with the update starting at 09:00 UTC.
Will my rank reset in Season 11?
Yes. Season 11 is a full season, so you play ten placement matches from a predicted rank three divisions below your final Season 10.5 rank (Grandmaster II if you finished Celestial II or higher), and you can't place above Celestial I.
Do I keep my heroes and costumes in Season 11?
Yes. Only your Competitive rank resets. Heroes, costumes, account level and proficiency carry over, and so does the cross-platform character you linked.
Who is joining Marvel Rivals in Season 11?
NetEase hasn't said who joins the roster in Season 11 as of 2 November 2026, and the names in leaks aren't confirmed. Every season and half-season start from Season 6 to Season 10 added a hero; Season 10.5 added none. The reveal usually comes with the trailer and patch notes in the days before the season.
