What medal is your MMR?
The maths (2,700 − 2,310) ÷ 154 a star = 2.5 stars into Archon → Archon 3, 2,618–2,771 MMR.

Valve doesn't publish medal cut-offs; the ladder here is the community MMR table (154 MMR a star from Herald to Ancient, 200 in Divine, Immortal from about 5,620), so treat a result near a star's edge as a guide — the medal on your profile is what counts. Your exact MMR is shown only to you in the game; other players see your medal. The share of players is OpenDota's (read 2 November 2026): it counts only the accounts OpenDota tracks, has no date of its own, may include inactive accounts, and since 19 March 2025 games above 8,500 MMR are hidden from public data. The booster estimate is our checkout engine's for this exact climb — our boosters' pace by medal, from about 3 stars a day in Herald to about 0.8 in Divine. Boosting conflicts with Valve's rules: the Steam Subscriber Agreement says your account is personal and forbids sharing or selling access to it, and on 14 December 2023 Valve game-banned accounts shared with other users or services. How Dota 2 medals and MMR work
Dota 2 has eight ranked medals: Herald, Guardian, Crusader, Archon, Legend, Ancient and Divine with five stars each, then Immortal on top — 36 steps from Herald 1. Behind the medal sits your MMR, one ranked number for every position since March 2020. You see your own exact MMR in the game; everyone else sees only your medal.
Valve has never published the MMR where each star starts. The figures players use are the community table: every medal from Herald to Ancient spans 770 MMR, so a star is 154; Divine spans 1,000, so its stars are 200; and Immortal starts at about 5,620 — the same number Valve used as its Immortal Draft minimum until 13 May 2023. The calculator divides your MMR by those steps, which is why it can tell you how far into a star you are.
How fast you move between stars depends on Rank Confidence, Valve's measure of how sure the system is about your MMR. Valve's 7.33c notes (13 May 2023) say a ranked game comes out closer to ±25 MMR once your confidence is high; while it is low — a new, calibrating or recalibrated account — each game moves more. There are no seasonal resets: your medal stays until your MMR moves. At the top, Immortal players high enough on their region's leaderboard (Americas, Europe, Southeast Asia, China) see their place on the medal, and since 19 March 2025 any ranked game with a player above 8,500 MMR — Valve's top 0.5% — is Immortal Draft.

Where Dota 2 players sit, medal by medal
OpenDota's rank distribution — 8,768,869 accounts with a medal, read 2 November 2026. A community figure: it counts only accounts OpenDota tracks, has no date of its own and may include inactive accounts. Valve's own anchors are different — 6,500 MMR was "roughly the top 1.5%" and 8,500 is "the top 0.5%" (19 March 2025) — so don't read one against the other.

FAQ
Common questions
How much MMR is each Dota 2 medal?
Valve doesn't publish the cut-offs. On the community table every medal from Herald to Ancient spans 770 MMR — five stars of 154 — Divine spans 1,000 (five stars of 200) and Immortal starts at about 5,620: Guardian 1 is 770, Crusader 1 1,540, Archon 1 2,310, Legend 1 3,080, Ancient 1 3,850 and Divine 1 4,620. Treat them as a close guide — the medal on your profile is what counts.
What MMR is Immortal in Dota 2?
About 5,620 on the community table. Valve doesn't publish the line, but 5,620 was its own minimum for Immortal Draft until 13 May 2023. Since 19 March 2025 every ranked game with a player above 8,500 MMR — the top 0.5% of players, Valve says — is Immortal Draft.
What rank are most Dota 2 players?
In OpenDota's figures (8.77 million accounts with a medal, read 2 November 2026) Archon is the biggest medal at about 20%, and the median player is Archon 3. Divine 1 and above is about the top 10% and Immortal about 3.9%. OpenDota counts only the accounts it tracks, so this is a community figure — Valve doesn't publish a distribution.
How many wins do I need for the next star?
Valve says a ranked game comes out closer to ±25 MMR once your Rank Confidence is high. A 154-MMR star then takes 7 net wins from its first MMR (6 wins are only 150), and a 200-MMR Divine star takes 8 — fewer if you are already part of the way in. While your confidence is low each game moves more, in both directions.
