What Ranked needs
Rainbow Six Siege is free to start, but Ranked isn't part of Free Access. Ubisoft's Free Access page lists Quick Match, Unranked and Dual Front with a selection of operators, and says Ranked playlists, Siege Cup, additional operators and cosmetics need payment. Once you own a premium offer β an edition or upgrade β Ranked and Siege Cup open as you reach level 50. Ranked also asks for 2-step verification on your Ubisoft account; use an authenticator app, because the Legend Division accepts nothing else. Your first five ranked games of each season are placement matches.
What the Legend Division needs
The Legend Division is a solo-queue-only playlist for the highest-ranked players, which opened in the middle of Y11S3. Ubisoft asks for "current Champion rank and Platinum rank last season" (the Ranked 3.0 announcement put it as Platinum or higher in Season 2 and Champion in Season 3), a positive reputation standing and completed security requirements: an authenticator app as your 2-step verification on every platform, and on PC the ShieldGuard Secure Platform β Secure Boot, Windows Memory Integrity (HVCI) and TPM 2.0, with temporary admin privileges to verify them. Once in, you lock your region and start playing; the regional leaderboards are visible to everyone, Legend players get a banner showing their standing, and the top 100 earn a charm next season with their final position, kept only while they stay in the top 100.

The five standings are Ubisoft's (April 2024); the order and the "positive" cut-off are our reading β Ubisoft's Split Fire page says only "a positive reputation standing". Your standing is built from in-game reports, commendations, Reverse Friendly Fire and abandons.
Turning on the PC checks
- Memory Integrity: Ubisoft's advice is to enable Core Isolation in Windows Security. In Windows that's Device security β Core isolation β Memory integrity, then a restart.
- Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 are switched on in your PC's firmware (UEFI/BIOS) settings β that's our general advice; the menu names vary by maker. Ubisoft notes some PCs need a firmware upgrade first.
- Admin rights: when the game asks for temporary admin privileges, allow them β that's how the Secure Platform checks the three settings.
- Consoles skip the Secure Platform, but still need the authenticator app.

How do you unlock Ranked in R6 Siege?
Ranked isn't part of Free Access. You need a premium offer (an edition or upgrade), your account at level 50 and 2-step verification on your Ubisoft account. Ubisoft says a premium offer unlocks Ranked and Siege Cup as you progress to level 50.
What are the Legend Division requirements?
Champion rank this season, Platinum or higher last season, a positive reputation standing and the security requirements: an authenticator app for 2-step verification on every platform and, on PC, the ShieldGuard Secure Platform β Secure Boot, Memory Integrity (HVCI) and TPM 2.0, with temporary admin rights to check them. Why can't I see the Legend Division in R6?
Usually one requirement is missing: last season's Platinum rank, a positive standing, an authenticator app (e-mail codes don't count) or a PC security setting. It also opens only mid-season β in Y11S3 on 15 October 2026.
Do you need Clearance Level 200 for the Legend Division?
It has been reported, but Ubisoft's Operation Split Fire season page doesn't list a clearance level β it names current Champion rank, Platinum last season, a positive reputation standing and the security requirements. The checker shows Clearance 200+ as unconfirmed and doesn't count it.
