R6 Y11S4 (2026): Release Date, What's Confirmed, What to Expect

What we know about Rainbow Six Siege Y11S4 on 2 November 2026: the expected dates and why, what Ubisoft has confirmed, what the season switch does to your rank, and what Year 12 brings.

Updated 2026-11-02 · 9 min read · by the BoostPirate crew
  • Not announced (2 Nov 2026)
  • Split Fire pass ends 1 Dec
  • Code of Conduct from Y11S4
  • Ranks reset, 5 placements

Rainbow Six Siege's next season, Year 11 Season 4, hasn't been announced. What is known comes from three places: the dates Ubisoft has published for the season that's running now, the things Ubisoft has said will start "in Year 11 Season 4", and the rules every Ranked 3.0 season follows. This page puts those together as of 2 November 2026, marks every date that's our estimate as an estimate, and leaves out the rumours. It will be rewritten when Ubisoft reveals the season.

Short answer: Ubisoft hasn't announced Y11S4 as of 2 November 2026. The Operation Split Fire Battle Pass runs "from September 1st to December 1st", and last year's Season 4 was revealed on 16 November 2025, so we expect a reveal in mid-November and the season in early December 2026 — our estimate, not a Ubisoft date. Confirmed so far: a mandatory Code of Conduct begins in Y11S4, and, as at every season start, all ranks reset and you play five placement matches, while your rank reward for the highest rank you reach in Split Fire arrives at the start of the new season.
Key takeaways
  • Not announced: no Y11S4 name, date, operator or map on Ubisoft's pages on 2 November 2026.
  • Expect early December: the Split Fire Battle Pass ends on 1 December 2026.
  • Confirmed for Y11S4: a new, mandatory Code of Conduct.
  • At the switch: ranks reset, five placements, and your Split Fire rank reward follows your highest rank.
  • Year 12 goes back to four new operators a year.

When does Y11S4 start?

Ubisoft hasn't said. On 2 November 2026 its Rainbow Six Siege page still advertised the Operation Split Fire Battle Pass "from September 1st to December 1st", and its newest Siege posts were the Y11S3.2 patch notes (13 October) and the mid-season designer's notes (15 October) — nothing about the next season. Today is day 63 of Split Fire, and the pass ends in 29 days. Our estimate of an early-December start rests on three things, each of them checkable:

  1. The pass marks the season.

Split Fire launched on 1 September 2026, the same day its Battle Pass began, so the pass ending on 1 December is the best marker for the season's end.

  2. Year 11 launches on Tuesdays.

Season 1 began on 3 March, System Override on 2 June and Split Fire on 1 September — all Tuesdays — and 1 December 2026 is a Tuesday too.

  3. Last year's Season 4 was revealed in mid-November.

Ubisoft's ShieldGuard post of 7 November 2025 announced the Season 4 reveal panel for Sunday 16 November, and Ubisoft News published Operation Tenfold Pursuit the same day. The same rhythm would put this year's reveal about two weeks before the pass ends.

What Ubisoft has confirmed for Y11S4

Only one item is announced for the season by name. Ubisoft's Community Checkpoint recap of 7 August 2026 lists "A new, mandatory Code of Conduct beginning in Year 11 Season 4", noting that "the player code of conduct emphasizes no cheating or toxic behavior". Its text isn't published yet; it will sit beside the Core Rules of 31 July 2026, which our penalties and reputation guide explains.

Everything else that's certain comes from rules Ubisoft applies at every season start, or from promises made for "next season":

  • A rank reset with placements: "At the start of each season, all ranks will be reset and players must complete 5 placement matches to receive a new one."
  • Split Fire's rank rewards: the seasonal charm and card background for the highest rank you reach "are delivered at the start of the next season".
  • The Legend Division top 100: "those who crack the top 100 get a charm next season that displays their final leaderboard position".

Name, operator, map, balance changes and exact dates: not announced. Reports about any of those before the reveal are rumours, so they aren't repeated here.

What the switch does to your rank

Ranked 3.0's season rules, in force since 2 June 2026, decide what happens on the day Y11S4 arrives — unless the patch notes change them:

Before the switch

  • Your reward is your peak. Rank rewards "are tied to the highest Rank achieved during the season, even if a player later deranks".
  • So the last weeks can only add. Reach Emerald rank iconEmerald in November and drop back to Platinum, and the Emerald reward is still yours.
  • Seasonal headgear comes "regardless of the rank you reach", just by playing.

When Y11S4 starts

  • All ranks reset, and five placement matches decide your new one.
  • Your history counts: "your performance in previous seasons also has an influence".
  • Placements pay more and have no squad limits — queue with friends of any rank.
  • No placing into Champion rank iconChampion; it's won after placements.

One change is pending without a date: Ubisoft said in June that placements "will carry more weight in determining starting rank in future seasons". Whether Y11S4 is that season, the patch notes will tell. The placement matches guide covers the reset in detail.

The Legend Division after Split Fire

The Legend Division — a solo-queue-only playlist above Champion — opened in the middle of Split Fire, on 15 October 2026 by SiegeGG's report. Entry needs "current Champion rank and Platinum rank last season, a positive reputation standing, and completed security requirements": an authenticator app for two-step verification and, on PC, the ShieldGuard Secure Platform. Players lock a region for the season, and the top 100 carry a charm into the next season showing their final position, which "you can only keep … if you stay in the top 100".

What it looks like in Y11S4 isn't announced. When Ubisoft first described it, the entry rule was "Platinum or higher in Season 2, and Champion in Season 3"; if the same pattern holds, Platinum or higher in Split Fire would be the "last season" requirement next time — our reading, not a Ubisoft statement. The Legend Division guide has every requirement.

Year 11 has followed Siege's usual rhythm of four seasons of about three months each. The biggest change came in the middle: Ranked 3.0 arrived with System Override, removed hidden MMR and gave Champion rank iconChampion five divisions like every other rank — the rules the Y11S4 reset will follow.

Security and conduct changes on the way

Ubisoft's August 2026 recap listed more work without tying it to Y11S4. Treat these as coming, not as dated:

  • Anti-toxicity voice chat: "Updates to anti-toxicity voice chat programs before the end of the year".
  • App-based two-step verification beyond Legend: "Eventually, two-factor authentication via app will be rolled out to other divisions of Rainbow Six Siege as well."
  • A kernel-level anti-cheat: a team at Ubisoft Security "is working on a kernel level, shared anti-cheat solution across all Ubisoft games".
  • Retroactive bans: a program "that can analyze past matches, so cheaters can be retroactively caught and sanctioned".

If you don't use an authenticator app yet, the switch is a good moment to add one: it's already required for the Legend Division. The ShieldGuard guide covers the PC security settings.

Year 12 and beyond

Ubisoft's Gamescom recap of 30 August 2026 gave the clearest look past Y11S4:

  • "Starting in Year 12, Siege is going back to four new Operators per year."
  • A Hostage Rework is in active development.
  • Arcade: after the response to the 1v1 and 3v3 modes, the team is "looking at ways to take those experiences further in future seasons".
  • A teaser: "A playable Operator is going to die." No operator or date was given.
  • Conduct: "Year 12 will introduce features that recognize and encourage good behaviour" (7 August 2026).

On the economy, Ubisoft's post of 30 June 2026 says the Marketplace "will remain closed" while the economy is rebuilt, with no reopening date, and that from Season 3 "new event packs will transition to R6 Credits only". Nothing in it is specific to Y11S4.

FAQ

Common questions

When does R6 Y11S4 come out?
Ubisoft hasn't announced it as of 2 November 2026. The Operation Split Fire Battle Pass runs to 1 December 2026, and that pass began on the day the season launched, so we expect Y11S4 in early December. That is our estimate, not a Ubisoft date.
When does Operation Split Fire end?
Ubisoft gives no end date for the season itself. Its Battle Pass runs from 1 September to 1 December 2026, which is the best marker for the switch to Y11S4.
Will ranks reset in Y11S4?
If Ubisoft keeps its Ranked 3.0 rules, yes: at the start of each season all ranks reset and you play five placement matches, and your performance in previous seasons also counts. Rank rewards for your highest Split Fire rank arrive at the start of the next season.
What is the new operator in Y11S4?
Not announced yet. Ubisoft has only said that Year 12 goes back to four new operators a year. We will update this guide when Y11S4 is revealed.
