- Duelist from Guangdong
- Released 27 Oct 2026
- Patch 13.09
- Free unlock for 28 days
Hush is VALORANT's newest agent: a telekinetic Duelist who arrived with patch 13.09 on 27 October 2026. This guide covers who she is, what each of her five abilities does and how you use it, the combos that make her kit work, how to play against her, how to unlock her during her first 28 days and after, and what else patch 13.09 changed β all checked against Riot's own patch notes and agent page.
- She moves people, not just herself. Pulls, steerable flashes and a lift that leaves enemies floating for the kill.
- Displacement is her engine β it concusses on collision and comes back every two kills.
- Two of her throws can be redirected mid-flight toward your crosshair, so they reach places a straight throw can't.
- The first agent launched with Agent Mastery, so every game on her earns Mastery Points from day one.
- Her Performance Score may be bumpy at first β Riot is still tuning what good Hush utility looks like.
Who Hush is
Riot revealed Hush on 18 October 2026 with a cinematic trailer at VALORANT Champions 2026 in Shanghai, before the grand final, and released her nine days later, two weeks into V26 Act VI. Her official biography calls her a Chinese operative who uses telekinesis on the most classified cases, redirecting her utility in midair to disrupt and displace the enemy team before suspending them for the killing blow. She comes from Guangdong β the third agent from China after Sage and Iso β and she is VALORANT's ninth Duelist, joining Jett, Reyna, Raze, Phoenix, Yoru, Neon, Iso and Waylay.
The design brief is different from most Duelists. Riot game designer Nicholas Smith described the idea as moving the role away from raw power toward tactical manipulation, and said telekinesis opened up an interesting space to design in. In practice her kit has one movement ability, Flow, and four that act on other players or on the map around her β tools to put enemies where her team wants them.
Every Hush ability explained
| Key | Ability | What it does | How you use it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Passive | Telekinesis passive | Picks up weapons and β on attack β the Spike, and uses switches, from further away than anyone else. | Always on. |
| C | Flow movement | Creates an anchor; after a short delay Hush is pulled toward it. Used in the air, she levitates briefly first. | Instant cast. |
| Q | Flashbulb flash | A flash that explodes on a surface or after a delay and blinds players looking at it. | Fire to throw, alt fire to prepare; reactivate to send it toward your crosshair. |
| E | Displacement signature | Explodes on a surface or after a delay and pulls players toward its centre; anyone pulled into a surface or another player is concussed. Resets every two kills. | Fire to throw, alt fire to prepare; reactivate to send it toward your crosshair. |
| X | Suspension ultimate | A wave you steer with your crosshair; detonate it and every player it catches is lifted into the air. | Prepared instantly; fire to send it, fire again to detonate. |
Riot's notes describe both Displacement's pull and Suspension's lift as affecting all players in range, so mind where your own team is standing. Credit costs, charges and the ultimate's point cost are not in the patch notes; patch 13.09 made ability tooltips show agent, role and keybinds in moments like Range testing, so check the live numbers in the client before your first ranked game.
How to play Hush: combos that work
- Pull into a wall.
Displacement only concusses players who hit a surface or each other, so detonate it where enemies hold tight angles β next to walls, boxes and the sides of a choke β rather than in the open.
- Curve the flash.
Throw Flashbulb, then reactivate to send it toward your crosshair. It can turn a corner and pop behind cover, so you don't need line of sight to the angle you are flashing.
- Prepare, then peek.
Alt fire prepares Flashbulb or Displacement instead of throwing it β ready in hand for the moment you swing an off-angle.
- Use Flow's hover.
Cast in the air, Flow holds you up briefly before the dash: an awkward height and timing for anyone pre-aiming the normal head level.
- Chain the kills.
Displacement comes back every two kills, so an entry that trades well pays for the next pull.
- Steer the ultimate.
Suspension follows your crosshair, so bend it around pillars and onto the defuser in a post-plant.
- Grab from cover.
Telekinesis picks up a dropped weapon or the Spike from further away than anyone else can β without stepping into the open.
Hush works best with teammates who turn a pull or a lift into damage. Recon from Sova or Fade finds the group to pull; Raze's and Brimstone's area damage punishes players stuck in the middle of a pull or floating in Suspension; and Sage's or Deadlock's walls give Displacement a surface to concuss against in an open site.
How to play against Hush
- Don't stack. Displacement concusses on collision with a wall or another player. Spread out at chokes and don't hug the same corner as a teammate.
- Turn from the flash. Flashbulb blinds players who are looking at it β and it can change direction, so react to the first sight of it, not to where it was thrown from.
- Watch the landing. Flow moves her to a fixed anchor after a short delay: once you know where she is going, aim there.
- Spread for the ultimate. Suspension catches every player in its blast. One player lifted is a bad round; three is a lost one.
- Remember the range. A dropped Spike or rifle that looks out of reach is not out of reach for her.
How to unlock Hush
Riot's Kingdom Credits FAQ sets the rule for every new agent. During the first 28 days, a new agent can be unlocked only three ways:
- The Agent Recruitment event.
Earn the event's XP goal by playing before it closes and Hush is yours for free.
- VP.
Unlock her straight away with Valorant Points.
- Xbox Game Pass.
An active subscription linked to your Riot account unlocks her while it stays active.
Once the recruitment event ends she joins the rest of the roster: unlock her with Kingdom Credits or an Agent Unlock Token. Outlets have reported the exact XP goal and prices; they are shown in the client, so check there rather than trust a number you read secondhand.
Agent Mastery arrived in September 2026, and Hush is the first new agent to launch with it. You earn Mastery Points for the agent you play in Competitive, Unrated, Swiftplay, Spike Rush, Team Deathmatch and Premier β more for longer matches, for winning and for a high performance score. Act Levels reset each Act; Lifetime Levels never do, and they open her Mastery rewards track, whose poses, backgrounds and stats are bought with Kingdom Credits.
What else changed in patch 13.09
| Change | What it means |
|---|---|
| Warden | The 2,900-credit rifle is easier to control: smoother first-bullet recoil, 2nd-bullet error .25 β .2, 3rd-bullet error .6 β .5. |
| Clove | Pick-me-up's movement bonus drops from 15% to 10%; killing Clove after Not Dead Yet now gives the killer an ultimate point and a signature refresh point. |
| Buff names | Haste is the speed buff (Brimstone, Clove, Miks, Neon β and Waylay's Convergent Paths buff, renamed to it), Combat Stim the fire-rate and reload buff, Snapshot Cypher's silhouette reveal. |
| Competitive | Hush's Performance Score may be bumpy for her first few days; Map Rating weighs your Act best match more; the First Blood accolade needs more. |
| Tooltips | Ability descriptions rewritten for clarity, more Agents get passive descriptions, and Jett's passive leaves the Buy Menu. |
The Clove change matters if you play into her: Pick-me-up gives less speed after a kill, and finishing Clove after Not Dead Yet now gives the killer an ultimate point and a signature refresh point.
Should you play Hush in ranked yet?
Riot's notes warn that scores on Hush may be "a bit bumpy" for her first few days while it tunes what good utility use looks like, so the end-of-game Performance Score is the least reliable thing about her right now. Learn her in Unrated, Swiftplay or Spike Rush first β they earn Mastery Points too β and bring her to Competitive once her steering and Displacement timings are automatic. If you are already a Duelist main, she fits into the same entry role; if you mostly play Controller or Sentinel, our guide to agent roles explains what a Duelist is asked to do. Your sensitivity carries over to every agent β the free sensitivity converter helps if you are coming from another game.
