WoW Delves Guide: Midnight Season 2 Tiers, Rewards and Valeera (2026)

Delves are World of Warcraft's small-group content: short, replayable instances you can clear alone or with up to four friends, with an NPC companion to fill the gaps and real gear at the end. In Midnight Season 2 they count toward the Great Vault's world row and are a solo player's main route to Hero-track vault loot. This guide covers how they work as of 31 October 2026 — the eleven tiers and what each one drops, Bountiful Delves and keys, Valeera Sanguinar, the season's nemesis and the Delver's Journey.

How Delves work in Midnight

A delve is a short instance with a story variant that changes from run to run. You enter alone or in a group of up to five, any roles, and the game scales it to the tier you picked. From tier 4 a life counter tracks your deaths: it affects the rewards at the end, and you need lives to spare for a clear to unlock the next tier. Tier by tier, that takes you all the way to 11.

Midnight launched with ten delves across its zones and Season 2 added The Ring of Glory and Gnarldor Isle on the Coiled Isle, so there are twelve to choose from: Atal'Aman, Collegiate Calamity, The Darkway, Gnarldor Isle, The Grudge Pit, The Gulf of Memory, Parhelion Plaza, The Ring of Glory, Shadowguard Point, The Shadow Enclave, Sunkiller Sanctum, Twilight Crypts. Each day a few of them are Bountiful — the Delver's Guide shows which — and those are the ones that pay gear at max level.

Tiers and rewards

The coffer and the vault follow the same tiers but different steps, and the crests change type as you climb.

Item levels: Warcraft Wiki's Season 2 table and Method (they agree on every tier). Crest types: Icy Veins and Warcraft Wiki.

Two extras make high tiers worth the effort: from tier 8, clearing every nemesis pack in the delve adds five crests, and from rank 4 of the Delver's Journey a tier 11 run opens a Gilded Stash with Hero and Myth Mistcrests, four times a week.

Bountiful Delves, keys and maps

Restored Coffer Keys aren't needed to run a delve — only to open the Bountiful Coffer at the end of a Bountiful one, which is where the gear in the table comes from. Keys are made from Coffer Key Shards, which drop around the game, and from rank 6 of the Delver's Journey you can buy two a week from Naleidea Rivergleam in Silvermoon City.

The season's treasure map is the Trovehunter's Bounty: carry it into a delve and a Hidden Trove waits at the end. It drops more often in Season 2 — from Azta'rec, Bountiful heavy chests and a weekly quest — but each character can loot only one a week.

Valeera Sanguinar, your companion

Midnight's companion is Valeera Sanguinar, the blood elf rogue you meet in Silvermoon. She covers all three support jobs: set her role to damage, healing or tank and her abilities change to match. Curios add the rest — combat curios such as the Viperwind Idol and utility curios such as the Dusty Loa Totem, both made available in patch 12.1.5 alongside a fifth rank for every curio.

Azta'rec and the Labyrinth of Kindo'jan

Every season has a nemesis at the bottom of its own delve. Season 2's is Azta'rec in Venomfall Deeps, fought on two difficulties — the harder one opened with Bountiful Delves when the season started on 18 August 2026. Beating him on tier 11 earns the title "the Poisonous", and soloing him on tier 11 has its own feat. Nemesis delves don't count toward the Great Vault.

Patch 12.1.5 on 13 October 2026 added the Labyrinth of Kindo'jan: nine chambers, Valeera at your side, playable in one long session or one wing at a time. Every room you clear adds treasure and risk, and the rewards include Mythic gear.

The Delver's Journey

The Journey is the season's delve progress track — ten ranks, reset for Season 2, filled by Bountiful Delves, opening coffers and clearing nemesis groups. The ranks that change how you play:

• Rank 4 — the Gilded Stash after tier 11 runs, four a week, with Hero and Myth Mistcrests.
• Rank 6 — two Restored Coffer Keys a week from Naleidea Rivergleam.
• Rank 9 — Hero gear (or Untainted Mana-Crystals) can appear in tier 11 Bountiful Coffers.
• Rank 10 — the title "Snake Eater". The season's tier achievements, tier 4 up to tier 11, add "High Explorer".

A weekly delve routine

1. Check the Delver's Guide.

   Run the day's Bountiful delves — they're the ones with gear.

2. Climb to tier 8 first.

   That's the 295 coffer and the 305 vault slot; higher tiers add crests, and Hero gear at tier 11 from Journey rank 9.

3. Fill the vault's world row.

   Two, four or eight runs at tier 8 or above give one, two or three 305 choices.

4. Push tier 11 for crests.

   Hero Mistcrests, and the Gilded Stash from Journey rank 4.

5. Use your map.

   One Trovehunter's Bounty per week — save it for your highest tier.
