  • Live 4 Nov 2026, 23:00 UTC
  • Levels 1–60, 1,000+ new quests
  • Nine new dungeons from level 13
  • Raids open 9 December

World of Warcraft: Forever is Blizzard's Classic+ β€” the original level 1–60 world, rebuilt with new zones, quests, dungeons and raids, running for good next to retail and Classic. This guide has the exact launch time in your region, what you need to play, how rulesets replace realm lists, everything that is new, the roadmap to the first raids and a plan for launch night. Facts come from Blizzard's own launch and preview posts, checked 31 October 2026.

Short answer: Forever goes live worldwide at the same moment β€” 4 November 2026, 23:00 UTC: 3:00 p.m. PST and 11:00 p.m. in the UK on 4 November, midnight in Central Europe and the morning of 5 November in Asia and Oceania. It is included with a WoW subscription or Game Time. Everyone starts at level 1, picks a ruleset instead of a realm, and the first raids β€” Barrow Deeps, Hyjal Summit and Onyxia's Lair β€” open on 9 December 2026. That is 3 days and 20 hours from the moment this page loaded.
Key takeaways
  • One global launch: 4 November 2026, 23:00 UTC β€” 15:00 PST Β· 18:00 EST on 4 Nov Β· 00:00 CET on 5 Nov.
  • No realm list: Normal, PvP, Roleplay and Roleplay PvP at launch; Hardcore comes after launch. Friends need the same ruleset and faction.
  • What's new: the Skyborne race, six new race–class pairings, four new zones, 1,000+ new quests and nine new dungeons.
  • Raids on 9 December: Barrow Deeps (10 players), Hyjal Summit (20) and Onyxia's Lair (40, attunement needed).
  • Names go fast: two-part names are unique per region and first come, first served β€” have three ready.

When Forever goes live in your region

There is no staggered rollout: Blizzard opens Forever everywhere at once. In the Americas that is a Wednesday afternoon; in Europe it is midnight going into Thursday, and in Asia and Oceania it is Thursday morning. These are Blizzard's own local times:

RegionLocal timeDate
Americas (PST)3:00 p.m.Wed 4 November 2026
Brazil (BRT)8:00 p.m.Wed 4 November 2026
United Kingdom (GMT)11:00 p.m.Wed 4 November 2026
UTC23:00Wed 4 November 2026
Central Europe (CET)12:00 a.m.Thu 5 November 2026
Taiwan (CST)7:00 a.m.Thu 5 November 2026
Korea (KST)8:00 a.m.Thu 5 November 2026
Australia / NZ (AEDT)10:00 a.m.Thu 5 November 2026

Eastern time in North America is 6:00 p.m. on 4 November. Daylight saving has already ended in Europe and the US by launch week, so the gap to UTC is the winter one. Install Forever through the Battle.net app before launch day, so that at 23:00 UTC the only thing left to wait for is the door opening.

What you need to play

  • An active subscription or Game Time. Forever is not a separate purchase β€” it is part of World of Warcraft, like Classic.
  • The Battle.net app. Pick WoW: Forever under the Game Version menu, choose the right account if you have several, then Install and Play. Update your graphics drivers first.
  • An upgrade only for the Skyborne. The new race needs the Skyborne Heroic Pack or higher; the packs otherwise add cosmetics, a ground mount (riding still has to be learned in game) and, in the Epic Pack, 30 days of Game Time.

On first login you choose an experience preset. Classic keeps standard-definition models, the old screen layout and less automatic guidance β€” quest markers and objective areas are off. Enhanced turns on high-definition models, quest markers, one combined bag, transmog and strafe keys. Blizzard suggests Enhanced if you're unsure; every setting can be changed later under Options, and the HD or SD model choice is per character and can be switched at a barbershop.

Rulesets instead of realms

Forever has no realm list. You pick a ruleset, and each ruleset is one large shared world for questing, grouping, dungeons, raids and the economy. That makes the choice permanent in practice β€” friends and guildmates must pick the same ruleset and the same faction to play together.

RulesetWhat it meansAvailable
NormalAdventure and monsters first; fighting other players is your choice.at launch
PvPOpen-world attacks from the other faction are part of daily life.at launch
RoleplayStrict naming and behaviour rules for immersive roleplay.at launch
Roleplay PvPRoleplay rules with open-world faction conflict.at launch
HardcoreOne life β€” death is permanent. Blizzard: after launch, details later.later

Characters get a two-part name, and the full combination must be unique in your region β€” first come, first served. Upgrade-pack owners could reserve names from 27 October; everyone else claims theirs at launch, so have a few combinations ready. The second name can be hidden above your head but still shows in chat.

What's new in Forever

Familiar

The original continents and the 1–60 journey, the original nine classes, talent trees with the same rows, the original dungeons, honor ranks and battlegrounds. Blizzard plans no level-cap increases β€” the world grows sideways instead.

New

The Skyborne race with its own starting zone, Zephras Isle (1–12); six new race–class pairings β€” Human Hunter, Dwarf Shaman, Gnome Priest, Orc Mage, Troll Warlock and Undead Paladin; four new zones; 1,000+ quests; nine dungeons; a 15-vs-15 battleground.

The Skyborne can join either faction. They can be Druids, Hunters, Rogues and Warriors; Alliance Skyborne can also be Mages and Horde Skyborne Shamans. The new zones are Mount Hyjal (a level-60 zone with the two new raids), Shen'dralas in central Kalimdor, the Riverglades β€” a contested zone east of the Badlands with more than 150 quests β€” and Zephras Isle. Every race now has two active and two passive racial abilities, talents gained a new 16-point milestone, and class buffs such as Blessing of Kings became baseline.

Two systems change the day-to-day. Camping lets anyone light a campfire that nearby players can rest at and add profession features to β€” a Sharpening Wheel, a Camp Tent for rested XP and more. Legacy is an account-wide set of 65 challenges that pay points into perk trees and unlock a Spectral Bear mount. PvP gets Battle for the Darkspear Islands, a 15-vs-15 battleground off Dustwallow Marsh for levels 30–60.

The roadmap: raids on 9 December, Hardcore later

Forever launches without raids. On 9 December 2026 β€” five weeks after launch β€” level-60 players get three: Barrow Deeps (10 players, 8 bosses) and Hyjal Summit (20 players, 13 bosses) on Mount Hyjal, and Onyxia's Lair (40 players), which needs the Drakefire Amulet. The full breakdown is in our Forever raids guide. After that, Blizzard's BlizzCon roadmap lists:

  1. Hardcore ruleset β€” after launch

Blizzard's launch post only says "sometime after launch"; the roadmap pointed at winter. Legacy progress from other rulesets won't carry into Hardcore.

  2. Spring 2027

Two new raids, two new dungeons, new quests and a new playable area, a legendary questline and a PvP season refresh.

  3. Summer 2027

A revamped iconic raid, another new raid, two more dungeons, more world content, a PvP refresh and Legacy updates.

A plan for launch night and week one

  1. Decide ruleset, faction and class before 23:00 UTC.

Your guild's choice beats any tier list β€” a ruleset can't be swapped later without starting over.

  2. Claim your name first.

Create the character the moment the realms open, even if you play an hour later.

  3. Take the camping quest and two professions early.

The first camp features unlock at skill 20, and a Cooking campfire at skill 1.

  4. Run each new dungeon once, with its quests.

Dungeon monsters give much less XP than in Classic; the dungeon quests give much more. Our leveling guide has the route.

  5. Plan backwards from 9 December.

Level 60, the Onyxia attunement and pre-raid gear from Blackmaw Hold, Shaper's Terrace and the original level-60 dungeons β€” five weeks goes quickly.

Help for launch week

  • Start ahead: Forever power leveling (orders from $7.00) from launch night, on your ruleset and faction.
  • For the dungeons: runs of the nine new dungeons with you in the group.
  • For 9 December: the raid-ready bundle β€” 1–60, the Drakefire Amulet, dungeon runs and riding.
  • Know the risk: letting someone else play your account goes against Blizzard's terms β€” read is WoW boosting safe? and pick self-play if you'd rather keep the login.
Be 60 before the raids open. Pre-order Forever leveling and it starts the minute the realms are up β€” or take the whole road to 9 December with the raid-ready bundle (from $380.00 for the bundle). Paid only after you approve.
