WoW Forever Legacy Challenges (2026): All 65, Points, Perks and Rewards

The Legacy system in World of Warcraft: Forever explained β€” all 65 Legacy Challenges by category, how points are shared and spent, the three perk trees, the Spectral Bear rewards and a plan to reach them.

Updated 2026-10-31 Β· 7 min read Β· by the BoostPirate crew
  • 65 challenges, 1 point each
  • Points are account-wide
  • 16 points per character at launch
  • Spectral Bear mount at 55

Legacy is World of Warcraft: Forever's answer to achievements β€” but it pays out. Finishing a Legacy Challenge earns a point that every character on your account can spend on perks such as faster rested XP or cheaper flights, and enough points unlock a Spectral Bear mount. This guide lists all 65 challenges, explains how points are shared and spent, what the perks do and how many points you can realistically reach β€” with and without PvP.

Short answer: there are 65 Legacy Challenges at launch, each worth one account-wide Legacy Point: Classes 27, Tradeskills 18, PvP 12, Adventure 2, Dungeons 3 and Raids 3. Each character spends up to 16 points in three perk trees, and the account unlocks rewards at 15, 25, 40 and 55 points β€” an air-rifle toy, the Spectral Bear Cub, the Spectral Bear Tabard and the Reins of the Spectral Bear mount. The system opens with your first point, usually at level 25.
Key takeaways
  • 65 challenges, one point each, shared by every non-Hardcore character on the account.
  • 16 points per character at launch, spent separately on each character and respecced at the class trainer.
  • One character can earn up to 29; the rest needs alts β€” or PvP.
  • The mount needs PvP: without it the account tops out at 53 of the 55 points.
  • Hardcore is separate: its points count everywhere, but nothing flows back into Hardcore.

How the Legacy system works

You unlock Legacy with your first Legacy Point. For most players that is their first character reaching level 25; reaching 150 in a crafting profession or exploring the whole world map also does it. Open it from the shield icon on the menu bar or with Y. It has three parts: Challenges (what earns points), Trees (where you spend them) and Rewards (what the account total unlocks).

Points are earned once per account. Spending works per character: each character fills its own three trees from the shared pool, up to 16 points at launch, and can respec at its class trainer. That lets a fresh alt take leveling perks while your 60 takes profession perks from the same points. Blizzard's own design note: alts are optional, and every character advantage can be unlocked on one character β€” the alts only add points faster.

All 65 Legacy Challenges

CategoryPointsHow to earn them
Classes27Reach levels 25, 45 and 60 with each of the nine classes.
Tradeskills18Reach 150, 225 and 300 in each of the six crafting professions (Alchemy, Blacksmithing, Enchanting, Engineering, Leatherworking, Tailoring).
Player vs. Player12PvP ranks 3, 7, 10, 13 and 14 (5); Exalted with each battleground reputation (4); Field of Honor season journey weeks 4, 7 and 10 (3).
Adventure2Explore the whole world map on one character; finish the Lord Valthalak dungeon-set questline.
Dungeons3Defeat the final boss of every level 15–25, every 26–45 and every 46–60 dungeon.
Raids3Defeat Onyxia, all 13 Hyjal Summit bosses and all 8 Barrow Deeps bosses.
Total65One point per challenge, account-wide

Only the six crafting professions count β€” gathering doesn't. The dungeon challenges mean the final boss of every dungeon in a band, the original ones as well as the nine new ones; the raid challenges open with the raids on 9 December. Blizzard plans more challenges and rewards with each content update.

World of Warcraft: Forever Legacy points: 65 challenges at launch β€” Classes 27, Tradeskills 18, PvP 12, Adventure 2, Dungeons 3, Raids 3; rewards at 15 points (Replica Ironforge Air Rifle toy), 25 (Spectral Bear Cub), 40 (Spectral Bear Tabard) and 55 (Reins of the Spectral Bear mount); one character can earn 29 and spend 16; without PvP the account tops out at 53

The rewards are account-wide. Blizzard names the four but not the point costs; the thresholds above are the in-game vendor's β€” Innkeeper Wiley in Ratchet β€” as listed by Warcraft Wiki and Warcraft Tavern's Legacy guide (an early BlizzCon demo report had the cub at 23).

How many points can you reach?

Blizzard's own breakdown for one character: up to 29 points β€” 3 from leveling (25, 45 and 60), 6 from two crafting professions, 12 from PvP, 2 from Adventure and 6 from dungeons and raids. From there the arithmetic is simple:

Without PvP

One character reaches 17 β€” 14 before the raids open, so the rifle at 15 waits for raid night. The whole account tops out at 53: all nine classes to 60 and all six crafting professions to 300 get you the tabard but stop two points short of the bear. The mount needs at least two PvP challenges β€” ranks 3 and 7 are the first two.

With PvP

A main that finishes every PvP challenge reaches 29 alone β€” past the cub. Add the other four crafting professions (12) and the other eight classes to 45 (16), and you pass 55 without taking a single alt to 60. Even partial PvP β€” a few ranks, a reputation, some Field of Honor weeks β€” cuts the alt grind.

The three perk trees

The trees are Adventure, Professions and Resourcefulness, each with seven perks at launch and room for more. Effects below are the beta values listed by Warcraft Tavern:

TreePerkWhat it does
AdventureWell Restedrested XP builds 4% faster and caps 4% higher per rank
Talentedtalent points start before level 10
Thrill of Adventure1% health and mana back after each kill in the open world
Frequent Flierhalf-price flight paths, 20% faster flights
ProfessionsWorking Overtime+4% skill-up chance per rank
Bountiful Harvestmore scarce materials from Mining, Herbalism and Skinning
Dedicated Study+1 point to your lowest tradeskill on a daily cooldown
ResourcefulnessDiplomat+2% reputation per rank
For Great Honor+2% honor per rank
Reagent Economyclass abilities stop needing vendor reagents

For an alt on its way to 60, Adventure is the obvious tree: Well Rested, Talented and Frequent Flier all save leveling time. A crafter at 60 swaps to Professions; a PvP main to For Great Honor and Diplomat. Sixteen points go quickly across three trees, so respec as your goals change.

Legacy and Hardcore

Hardcore isn't open at launch. When it arrives, challenges completed on Normal, PvP or the Roleplay rulesets won't show on Hardcore, while a challenge earned on Hardcore counts in every other ruleset too. PvP challenges can't be done on Hardcore, so it gets 12 Hardcore-specific challenges instead, with more Hardcore challenges and perks planned.

A Legacy plan for the first weeks

  1. Level your main to 25.

Point one β€” the system unlocks. Points two and three come at 45 and 60.

  2. Choose two crafting professions.

150, 225 and 300 in each is six points a gatherer never gets.

  3. Explore as you go.

Uncovering the whole world map on one character is a point; so is the Lord Valthalak questline at 60.

  4. Tick off dungeons by band.

Every final boss from 15–25, then 26–45, then 46–60 β€” see the dungeons guide.

  5. Raid from 9 December.

Onyxia, Hyjal Summit and Barrow Deeps are three more β€” the raids guide has the details.

  6. Play enough PvP for two points.

Without them the Spectral Bear stays out of reach.
