LoL LP gain checker

Riot keeps MMR hidden, but your LP gains give it away. Enter what your last few wins paid and your losses cost — the checker reads it the way Riot's support article explains it, then shows your break-even win rate and how many games the next division takes.

Is your MMR above your rank?

— —

—win rate to break even
—LP per game at your win rate
—games to the next division
—games for a full tier (400 LP)

How LP follows MMR is from Riot Support's "MMR, Rank, and LP" article, checked 2026-10-15. Riot gives no thresholds: reading a gap of 3 LP or less as "even" and 10+ as "well above / below" is our rule of thumb. Average a few recent games — one autofilled win can pay double LP (Aegis of Valor since patch 26.15), and a division is 100 LP. The 20-LP figure for matched MMR is the official wiki's 2026 baseline; Riot doesn't publish one.

What your LP gains say about your MMR

Riot's support article is unusually direct about this. Your MMR is secret, and your rank exists to translate it. When the two are about even, wins and losses pay about the same LP. When your MMR is above your rank you get bigger rewards on a win and smaller deductions on a loss — Riot says that almost always happens at the start of a new season. When it is below, usually after a losing streak, you lose more each defeat until your win rate levels out. Win enough in a row and the rewards grow. Duo games can bring slightly harder opponents or smaller gains.

That makes the LP split the best signal you have. Since 2026 a Climb Indicator on the loading screen also appears when your visible rank is lagging behind your MMR. Solo/Duo, Flex and normal games each keep their own MMR, so check the numbers for the queue you care about. The full picture is in LoL MMR explained.

Common questions

Why am I gaining so little LP in LoL?

Because your hidden MMR sits below your visible rank. Riot says that when your MMR is lower than your rank you lose more LP each defeat — and gain less per win — until your win rate levels out, usually after a losing streak. Keep winning more than you lose and the gains recover; the checker shows how far apart your numbers are.

What does +25 / −15 LP mean?

That your MMR is ahead of your rank: Riot says that gives bigger rewards on a win and smaller deductions on a loss, and that it almost always happens at the start of a new season. Ten points or more apart (our rule of thumb) usually means the system expects you to climb, and your rank will move fast until it catches up.

Can I see my MMR in League of Legends?

No — Riot keeps MMR secret and shows it only through your rank and LP. Since 2026 a Climb Indicator on the loading screen appears when your visible rank is lagging behind your MMR. Solo/Duo, Flex and normal games each have their own MMR, so gains in one queue say nothing about the others.

How do I fix low LP gains?

Win more than you lose over a stretch of games — that's the only thing that moves MMR. Play fewer champions and roles, stop after two losses, and review the games you lose. Duo games can bring slightly harder opponents or smaller LP gains (Riot), so a duo partner only helps if you win more with them.
